Potato me or potato set-up? I can't weave.

I'm not sure weaving actually works on my older pc, including wireless xbox360 gamepad.

To test, I simply alternated between light attack and surprise attack, with the button presses evenly timed. I've tried it at different speeds and I generally see around 4 light attacks for every 9 surprise attacks. Sometimes more, but sometimes only 1 or 2. Disabling all the add-ons didn't change anything. I used the in game grim focus counter with cm disabled.

The only way for me to get as many light attacks as surprise attacks is to go very slow. It's almost 2 full seconds between surprise attacks in order to get all the LAs. If I press light attack and then immediately follow it with surprise attack, one of the attacks usually won't get recorded, but sometimes they do. On a side note, weapon swap is very inconsistent. That was one of the reasons I went to the ultra simple one skill rotation for testing.

Should alternating one skill and LA always record the LAs? Am I misunderstanding what weaving is? Testing wrong? L2P? Is it possibly the outdated computer/ gamepad? Any other ideas?

Edit to clarify it was the in game grim focus counter and not the add on

What type of weapon are you using? Just curious since weaving with a bow seems different to me than the other weapons.

The test was dw. I can try again with the bow tonight if that would help.

Don't evenly space out the LA and skills. It should be LA, just enough time to register the attack, and then skill, then enough delay so the next LA starts 1 second after your last one.

If you're using a skill with a longer animation, than the next LA wont override it.

You can cancel LA animations with a skill, but not the other way around.

You need to take your potato and slice it into individual strips. Then throw the strips into boiling hot oil.

Trust me, there's no better way to depotatorize ...
