Do the NB Siphoning & Shadow passives apply regardless of which bar they are slotted on?

Just wondering if the Nightblade class skill passives from Siphoning and Shadow apply as long as you have one of them slotted in either bar or if they are only active according to which bar they and you are on?

For example if I have Bolstering Darkness slotted as my only Shadow skill on the front bar do I get the Shadow passives only when the front bar is selected or will I still have them when I switch to the back bar?

*I realise some of the Shadow passives only apply after you activate a shadow ability so I guess I'm referring to ones that don't necessarily need you to use a skill from that skill line to be activated.

the passives are only active via that bar that is currently active with the skills slotted, so yes you have to be on that bar for the passives to work

Okay thanks that's good to know but also a bummer - if I were going to slot Refreshing Path then I could have it on the alternative bar from Bolstering Darkness to then have the Shadow passives always active but I read it's been nerfed and thought I'd be better off slotting something more useful.

I suppose though casting Refreshing Path can give you Major Resolve and Major Ward for 6 seconds which does make it more useful.

    some slight correction here:

Certain passives require you to have the abilities slotted, such as the shadow passive that increases health with each shadow ability slotted. However, there are also passives that are universal, for eg the potion passive from the siphoning skill line. As long as you pop a pot, you will still gain the ultimate regardless of what bar you are on. (of course you do need to have this passive active)

also, the passive will also carry over even if you switch, so for eg if you pop Refreshing Path on your offbar and switch weps, you will still receive the shadow passive buff that increases your resistance.

    Hope this helps!

The siphoning passive that gives 8% magicka has been bugged for me since the major update on PC. I am getting the magicka increase on the opposite bar. A guild mate wasn't getting the magicka buff on either bar apparently. I have raised a bug report or two, so I'm sure it will be fixed one day.
