PC EU ESO Quit Automatically and Sometime Freezing in BG

  1. Was on verge to win BG and ESO suddenly quit to Desktop (no error)
  2. Was on verge to win BG and ESO Froze (1 in 15 Games)

Result: Deserter Penalty for 20 Minutes

    Similar thing happened to me yesterday. Logged on to play bgs with my bf (i had been playing in the morning and grouped with mostly inexperienced (seemed that way) players). We got a deathmatch and I was on 8 - 0 - 5, then crashed to desktop. Bf was able to finish the round and they won. i logged back in with the intention to queue with him as soon as that round was over but has the 20 min deserter penalty.

    Never been so frustrated. omfg.

    Where you using break-free when it happened? I've been seeing a lot of reddit threads about it crashing in BG's when they try to break free.

    In case you're curious, the technical term for what happened in point #1 is Crash to Desktop (or CTD).

    Have you tried running ESO's repair tool? In my experience, CTDs in particular are often caused by file corruption, so running repair might help.

    If repairing doesn't help, then it's probably a bug. Next time you CTD or Freeze, if it happens again, you should make note of what action you were taking (Break Free, a certain ability, in the middle of a cast time, sprinting, etc.) right before it happened and make a bug report with that information.

    I do not want to repar (patch was downloaded without any issue) and spend wasting many hours.

    ESO is freezing after last PC patch, it was fine before. It is stop responding randomly.

    CTD are happen frequently too, something ZOS messed up in last patch,

    I've had ESO quit completely once each day for the past 2 days while in queued dungeons. No lag, no high ping, no warnings, it just completely quits the game to desktop.
