Compared to £4.24 with a 6 month sub or £5.45 with a 5,500 crown pack that's a pretty good deal. Or even £5.35 for a 14,000 crown pack which is the closest in price at £74.99.
That's assuming the crown packs are full price of course. But even at 20% off a 14,000 crown pack is still £4.28 for 1,000 crowns and they seem to have stopped offering the bigger discounts recently.

Bear in mind the prices @iiYuki gave are in UK pounds. It's $14.99 US for a 30 day sub on PC too, and comparable prices for the 3 and 6 month options, so it's not quite as much of a difference as it seems if you just look at the numbers and omit the currency.
I'm not sure why Xbox doesn't offer the longer subscription packages though. $10 per month is what I've long considered a reasonable monthly cost for any MMO. $9.99 specifically.
Seems once it gets above that price I'm much less willing to pay for a subscription..
