Some pretty nasty memory leaks present in this game in general, but with the release of Derpmire, the memory leak issue caused me to have to replace 2 out of 4 of my RAM-sticks. Its' definitely coming from the ESO client.

So Zenimax, how about you buy me two new ram-sticks?

Uhhhh wut? Memory leaks have nothing to do with the physical functionality of your RAM. If you had to replace faulty RAM that is unrelated to ESO. If you replaced RAM only because of a memory leak you wasted your money. A memory leak has to do with the management of memory related to a program in the OS..not the physical functionality of RAM.

    Is this a troll post?

The game is far from fine.

Born, Bred & Made in Manchester UK, RIP 22 Angels. 22/05/2017

    PC-EU

The Place by Tony Walsh Please Read
This is the place in the North West of England

It’s ace, it’s the best and the songs that we sing

From the stands, from our bands set the whole planet shaking

Our inventions are legends! There’s nowt we can’t make and

So we make brilliant music. We make brilliant bands

We make goals that make souls leap from seats in the stands

And we make things from steel and we make things from cotton

And we make people laugh, take the mick summat rotten

And we make you at home and we make you feel welcome

And we make summat happen, we can’t seem to help it

And if you’re looking for history then yes, we’ve a wealth

But the Manchester way is to make it yourself

And make us a record, a new number one

And make us a brew while you’re up, love. Go on!

And make us feel proud that you’re winning the league

And make us sing louder and make us believe it

that this is the place that has helped shape the world

And that this the place where a Manchester girl

Name of Emmeline Pankhurst from the streets of Moss Side

Led a Suffragette City with sisterhood pride

And this is the place with appliance of science

We’re on it, atomic, we strut with defiance

In the face of a challenge we always stand tall

Mancunians in union delivered it all

Such as housing and libraries, and health, education

And unions and co-ops, the first railway station

So we’re sorry! Bear with us! We invented commuters!

But we hope you forgive us – we invented computers!

And this is the place Henry Royce strolled with Rolls

And we’ve rocked and we’ve rolled with our own Northern Soul

And so this is the place to do business, then dance

Where go-getters and goal setters know they’ve a chance

And this is the place where we first played as kids

And me Mam lived and died here, she loved it she did

And this is the place where our folks came to work

Where they struggled in puddles, they hurt in the dirt

And they built us a city. They built us these towns

And they coughed on the cobbles to the deafening sound

Of the steaming machines and the screaming of slaves

They were scheming for greatness, they dreamed to their graves

And they left us a spirit, they left us a vibe

The Mancunian Way to survive and to thrive

And to work and to build, to connect and create and

Greater Manchester’s greatness is keeping it great

And so this is the place now we’ve kids of our own

Some are born here, some drawn here but we all call it home

And they’ve covered the cobbles, but they’ll never defeat

All the dreamers and schemers who still teem through these streets

Because this is a place that has been through some hard times

Oppressions, recessions, depressions and dark times

But we keep fighting back with Greater Manchester spirit

Northern grit, northern wit in Greater Manchester’s lyrics

And there’s hard times again in these streets of our city

But we won’t take defeat and we don’t want your pity

Because this a place where we stand strong together

With a smile on our face, Mancunians Forever

And we’ve got this* as the place where a team with a dream (*Forever Manchester)

Can get funding and something to help with their scheme

Because this is the place that understands your grand plans

We don’t do No Can Do, we just stress Yes We Can!

Forever Manchester’s a charity for people round ‘ere

You can fundraise, donate. You can be a volunteer

You can live local, give local. We can honestly say

We do charity differently, that Mancunian Way

And we fund local kids, and we fund local teams

We support local dreamers to work for their dreams

We support local groups and the great work they do

So can you …help us help… local people like you?

Because this is the place in our hearts, in our homes

Because this is the place that’s a part of our bones

‘Cos Greater Manchester gives us such strength from the fact

That this is the place. We should give something back.

Always remember. Never forget. Forever Manchester.

It's mostly effecting endgame right now. The memory leaks/rendering issues have caused many trial teams a great deal of frustration and some are even taking breaks. It's definitely a widespread issue and very real, but if you don't play endgame you wouldn't notice.

I was about to write that about you. A memory leak does not destroy your RAM. The chance your RAM will say goodbye to you instead of you to your computer is quite low, the chance of a one time error is about 2%, the chance of more severe damage 8%.

So what you did was either some sort of work around for bad RAM compatibility, which might not be the fault of ZOS, or you replaced two defective RAM bars, which is not the fault of ZOS.

Neither. Was playing the game, got an infinite load screen.

Alt+Tabbed to close client/launcher and it caused a BSOD. Removed ram-sticks one by one until my computer loaded up Windows 10.

I'm not only one who has reported this issue. Zenimax acknowledges the issue exists.

It can be a Win 10 issue as well. A lot of errors can flood your RAM, but never break it.

Either it is already broken, or you run short of it. A simple 1 to 1 replacement will not fix it, unless it is a compatibility issue as well.

It's mostly effecting endgame right now. The memory leaks/rendering issues have caused many trial teams a great deal of frustration and some are even taking breaks. It's definitely a widespread issue and very real, but if you don't play endgame you wouldn't notice.

Or if they're dumb and don't know anything about computers.

If you think a memory leak somehow destroyed your RAM then it's you that doesn't know anything about computers. Come on man..try googling before posting such outlandish threads of misinformation.

A program stores data in RAM that it will readily need so it can access it quickly (as opposed to accessing it from the hard drive). When data in RAM is no longer needed or is not as important as other data it's *supposed* to be swapped out of RAM.

A leak happens when that data isn't properly removed from RAM so it's "leaking" into your RAM free space. Over time more and more data that *is* needed keeps getting added and more data leaks into the free space until you run out of RAM space and the game/OS crashes or performs very badly. To fix a memory leak you just have to reboot or restart the application (not replace your RAM). This is a software problem not a hardware problem.

So while a memory leak isn't going to destroy your physical RAM that doesn't mean a memory leak isn't ESO's fault and it doesn't mean that a memory leak won't ruin your game play if it's bad enough.

I wonder what software I was running that caused the problem?

Also, "If you think a memory leak somehow destroyed your RAM"

    I never said that.

Seems people can't make a thread without the forum trolls popping up and telling people what they said and how they feel.

Played this game for four years straight, on this same computer, no major issues until Murkmire released, and now i'm having to replace computer parts because their functionality is being effected.

This computer can multi-box GTA5 with ENBs at 120fps, but load up ESO and I get BSOD?

ESO is fine you're just making it a big deal

    oh ya game fine

I’ve never had any of these problems that people seem to cry about 24/7, I don’t lag, never had any bugs or glitches, my game has been running perfectly fine since the day I started it up, you’re like a depressive tbh, every post I see you comment in always has something to do with ESO being broken or you just hate on the game in general, do you spend your entire day staring at forums and refreshing the page, just to find something to hate on? Seriously how about you find something better to do

It's mostly effecting endgame right now. The memory leaks/rendering issues have caused many trial teams a great deal of frustration and some are even taking breaks. It's definitely a widespread issue and very real, but if you don't play endgame you wouldn't notice.

I’m max CP and I do vet trials almost daily :) I also PvP and have 0 issues, also I was replying to Ezio45 only, idc about the OP

Idk man, I wasn't trying to call you out or anything, just that your opening sentence was that you don't have any of the problems so many others are reporting, so I assumed you must not be running the content where the problems show up.

I'd you don't notice any issues then you're lucky, since the endgame issues are very widespread beyond the classic forum complainers. I can almost guarantee that if you run vCR+3 progression you will notice the issues, as they're linked to the amount of time you stay in the instance. I haven't noticed rendering issues in Crag trials simply because we burn through them so quickly.

Also if you play vivec pvp during primetime, you will lag. That's not up for debate, that is a fact of life like death and taxes ;)

I play on PS4 and PC, I started on PS4 so I mainly play PvP there, I don’t lag on Vivec PS4 EU, I guess the lag is mostly/only on PC Vivec? But yeah, I agree I’m probably in the minority of people that don’t have any issues with the game
