Corrosive armor fail

I hit corrosive armor (which is supposed to limit inc damage to 3% for 10.8 seconds) today in cyrodil, and it did nothing. In my combat log it is active, since it did some damage on the other players, but it did nothing to mitigate damage, I took full damage from the other players in all forms (direct, cast, bleeds etc) and died before the corrosive armor should have expired
4 GOs, and General, and bunches of prefects etc-- all classes...I've wasted a lot of time in PVP over the last 8 years

✭Ok, I understand now something I never understood before (which is why combat logs are useful). Corrosive armor doesn't limit TOTAL damage to 3%, it limits each individual damage event to 3% of your maxed health. So since I was zerged 6v1, each hit was 939 damage max (= 3% of my health) and I was hit by so many people that it still killed me quickly.
