Has the Contrast and Color Saturation increased?

Hello,

Has the contrast been increased and well as a hefty dose of increased color saturation? I'm a professional artist who works Photoshop everyday, so this was not hard for me to notice.

Logged in today and the first thing I did was run Direfrost Keep. I noticed my Ice AoE abilites were really bright to the point of complete white out (when placed on the snow in Direfrost). I quickly left the dungeon and looked around and sure enough, on my system at least, noticed a contrast and color saturation boost.

I looked at some of my work in Photoshop and noticed no changes. No changes on You Tube or any other thing I have looked at today on my PC. Please inform, I'd like to know if it's my system or not.

Thanks,

Do you use an HDR display? ESO has support for HDR and when it's on (Windows doesn't handle HDR-SDR switching very well so sometimes it's stuck on either mode) the colours are in fact much more saturated and bright. All in all I think ESO looks pretty good on HDR, though definitely more cartoony as well.

I honestly thought craglorn looked different today to the point where I actually stopped to look around for a moment but I wasn't sure what was different exactly.

Have you checked your graphics settings? I noticed the shadow cast by my character was very blurry after the last update which could be fixed by changing the setting and also found out that a new Ambient Occlusion method was added. This was never mentioned in the patch notes so I don't know which update introduced it. Ambient Occlusion was deactivated though. With the previously available SSAO enabled ESO looks darker.
