Can Mages Guild, Psijic Guild, etc. get a reference system to cut down on the grinding?

It would be real nice if your newer characters could show up at the Mages Guild with a letter of reference from, say, your previous character that would jump you up to level 5 or so of the skill line. With so many skill lines opened, it's a real pain in the ass to level new toons now. The Psijic skill line and the Mages guilds skill lines are particularly boring.
Former Empresses: Saliva Bortschion (MagBlade), Janet From Finance (PvP MagSorc), Carla Swagan (Tank DK), Estelle Born (StamBlade), Enya Arsenal (MagPlar), Anita Nurse (Magplar Healer), Bearback Brigitte (Magden), Rachel Justice (MagDK), Nicole From Payroll (Stamden), Bailiff Belinda (PvE MagSorc), Féline Dion (StamDK), Septic Tank Tina (Necro Tank)

The runts: The Trolly Spirit (Tank Sorc), Floods-Your-Basement (Warden Healer) Dinah Asthma (Magcro), Total Top Tony (Stamcro)

The traitor
s: Janis Javelin (Stamplar, EP), Barbecue Becky (Magblade Healer, AD)

PvE: Gryphon Heart, Immortal Redeemer, Flawless Conqueror

Oooh, what do we have here? Another scrumptious young plaything straight out of life and into my club? Mmm... you smell new, little boy, like fabric softener dew on freshly mowed Astroturf. Oh, I'm not frightening you, am I, duckling?

Well, I see why you'd want that, but I don't personally find them boring. I have girls who do Psijic, a couple in Undaunted (though I'm not at all into doing dungeons etc.), a couple who do Mages, a couple who do Fighters. I don't concentrate on any of them to the exclusion of other stuff....

Every single character should have undaunted passives free 2% resources per armor weight. I wont play a character until undaunted 9 for the passives. Additionally every pvp character needs fighters for extra ulti regen when killing undead and if using dawnbreaker extra damage against undead players. Most mag builds use mage guild in some way. some characters like my mag dk use fighters guild, mage guild, psijic, and undaunted. One heck of a grind.

Well, each to her own. I despise pvp, so nothing that "works" for pvp is anything I bother with. And since I don't have much trouble killing stuff overland, I'm not bothered. If pvp is what you do, well, that's your problem, not mine.

    These are necessary grinds.
Buckle down and get them done and stop whinging for shortcuts.

    Why are they necessary though?

There are two options. People will either waste countless more hours and hours grinding out those passives for other characters (what ZOS wants--more time in game = more chance to spend money in the cash shop) or they won't. I don't have the time in life to do things I don't enjoy. If or when my class gets nerfed to the point it's not desirable for end game vet trials, I'm done with the game period. I'm sure there are others like me who aren't interested in repeating the in game grind more than once, and it's most certainly not what currently keeps me coming back to the game, so why keep it at all?

do people even use warhorn in pvp? They really should just make that the undaunted ultimate.

I think the real issue is that doing these isn't fun in the slightest. They really were not very well thought out..Specifically referring to Psijic and Mages guild..

    Yes please !

This is the most boring thing in that game. I have 4 magicka characters and most of them are not optimised because I cannot admit to loose my time. Grinding donjon, raid etc. is nice because you're actively using your character, but these guilds are only about walking again and again...without thinking or doing nothing.

One other solution would be to create a system as in Swtor: Heritage...

Mage, Fighter and Undaunted guild progression is bad enough, but at least very doable while questing/leveling up.

Psijic? That one I do on *some* new characters only to the point where they can see the psijic portals and then stop because in my opinion, trying to close the portals on a young character without wayshrines is neither easy nor fun.

I don't know that any of my characters will ever have the full skill line, sadly.
PC/NA - Perpetually casual. Furniture and fish collector. Lover of exploration and opener of urns.
Maxed CPs, still no clue how to endgame, too much time opening urns, prolly.
    Eve Morrison - Templar DPS - Furniture Crafter/Maker of Arms - Co-op w/hubby/achievements/crafting
Jilly Narraway - MagDK DPS - Delves/Dungeons/Dolmans - She murders ALL THE THINGS!
Fynn the Lucky - Warden Tank -- Seer of things/Explorer of places - RP/Solo/Storyline/Completionist
    Siluna Southpaw - StamDK DPS slippery-fingered type/Murder hobo - RP/Solo/Storyline

It is so hard to pick up books and look at them when you go past them doing other stuff? The psijic one does take more effort, but mages?

Should make the riding skill level account wide, it annoys me going from a character with a fast mount to one with a slow mount.

    Wiz

P.S Plus the amount of gold you have to pay, 8 characters at 250 gold per level. 180 levels per character.
