Murkmire crowns refound?

Just have a look at the Daily Rewards tab on the Crown Shop window. The Murkmire rewared "token" is in the list of one of last at the bottom, hover your mouse over it, hard to not notice.
Life is a ride, like days in a train, cities rush by, like ghosts in the night.
The rhythm of wheels, time fades away, stations of a journey, destination unknown.

they. have been. advertising. free. murkmire. in november. for MONTHS now. we knew it was going to be a free november reward at least a month before DLC was even released. this was in no way, shape or form hidden.

people bought it, KNOWING it was going to be free. pretty much everyone I know who did it - did so becasue CE comes with mount and pet and they wanted mount and pet and buying them separately wouldn't save them any crowns.

you know what this reminds me off?

when company advertises their black friday sale for over a month before black friday, mentioning specific products that will be on sale. and people still buy things before black friday at full price and then complain about being cheated. if you have chosen to live under the rock and ignore all advertisement? that is YOUR problem

I didn't know it will be free don't generalize...

    Bulls**t

They’ve been saying for months in official published articles. On the ESO website. Linked from the client. In the crown store WHEN YOU WENT TO BUY IT

The only way you didn’t know is if you actively avoided reading any and all Murkmire content on the website, in the client, AND in the game.

It’s no one’s fault but yours and you don’t deserve and refund

so you are someone who lives under a rock and ignores any and all information THROWN at them. literally, you had to have ignored EVERYTHING, including purchase description to not know it was going to be free.

edited to add - I made that reply before reading the one above me, but Jhalin is correct.

The dlc bundle you purchased is 4K crowns.

You got the dlc for free too.

While I find this thread silly because plenty of notice was given about the reward, a mount and a pet are worth about zero crowns to me. Sure, there are people who feel such things add value and they could feel they got the value they coveted from the mount, pet, and early access. But this post reminds me of when Humble Bundle claims a monthly bundle has a value of $200 by claiming a game regularly given away for free is worth $10.

There is really some absurd salt over a freebie.

    What is Humble Bundle?

And I’m speaking from the perspective of someone who purchased a dlc bundle SPECIFICALLY because of the pet and mount. The only adult gray wolf or “dire wolf” pet in game so far came with the Horns of the Reach dlc bundle. The Karthwolf mount and matching pet. I haven’t seen another direwolf yet. I have no interest in dlc dungeons that I’ll be rushed through and get bored of/frustrated with in 1 or 2 runs.

Being ignorant is no excuse. Try pulling that on a police officer who pulled you over for speeding and you reply you didn't know the speed limit.

Just one of the traps for them to get people to pay for little / nothing. Another being the trader companion which only buys, but doesn't repair, and banker which allows to access personal account bank, but not guild banks / traders, both for 5k Crowns. No hint in the description about any such limit, how thoughtful of them.

Well, there is a hint, actually.

The Merchant specifically says she "will buy any non-stolen goods you or your group offer her." And the Banker specifically says he is "available for all personal banking services."

In fact both assistants describe exactly the features they offer. People just assume that they are exact analogs for the in-game bankers and merchants, but they aren't. Perhaps it would be more helpful to describe the features they don't offer to shortcut people's assumptions, but of course that information is only a Google away. As always, caveat emptor.

humble bundle is a website that sells video games, occasional software and books as bundles. sort of pay what you want - get this, pay more then average - add 2 more games to your purchase, pay this set amount - get all the games, and its usually far FAR cheaper then buying any of those games individual, even when on sale. proceeds go to charity and/or developers and you can decide how much to each. they also lately added a store where you can just buy games outright, AND last but not least - they have a monthly subscription that is $12 and you get a bunch of games. sometimes its crap (they don't tell you every game in a subscription bundle at once, usually just the crown jewel of the collection), sometime its something amazing, and its always worth way WAY more then buying it outright somewhere, even on sale - although, yes sometimes a bunch of crap you get while.. technically costs what they tell you, is given away so often, that practically, you just got a bunch of crap. but the selling point, the game they announce in advance... USUALY is worth the $12 ticket price alone.

I've bought many a game from them, including my extra copy of ESO, back when they had an MMO bundle and ESO copy came with bristlegut piglet code (I wanted that piglet, extra game was just a nice bonus)

Fwiw I hadn’t spotted it on the forums or articles and don’t do twitch... I don’t actually care because I have plus so didn’t buy anyway but it IS possible to be an active player and not have known.

Eh, I got it with crowns because I know that I'm missing that daily anyways. Busy November after all.

To even get it, you're going to need to log in consistently and I don't exactly do that. Maybe you do, but they have indeed stated it several times that the DLC was going to be free prior to releasing Murkmire.
Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

To be honest and not to jump on the wagon of "patronizing/flaming" those who dont visit the forums, don't pay the slightest attention on launcher news etc, there are a lot of people , that quite regularly play this game and had no idea.

Its not only Plausible/Possible but to my experience it is all what i see around me.
Stop critisizing people that may be dedicated parents, have a full time job, have to pay mortages and/or other "romantic"
things to deal with daily (like I do) for not being logged 24/7 ingame and in forum so not to miss anything.
There are people that the minute they press play then a gameplay countdown starts , for we all don't have the luxury to spend
10-12 (even more) hours in front of a monitor.

They can surely announce every s#ity little mounts/houses or whatever the money grab nonsense they will with an INGAME 80% screen overlaping announcement, but they kept this as an info in Launcher/site ?

    FFS give me a break...

Even worse, people buying stuff on black Friday thinking they are saving money. Most of the items that go on sale during that event have usually been cheaper, on the same site, in the same shops, throughout the year. Shove a sale sign up and people will buy.

I bought 3000 crowns to buy Murkmire and now is free as a daily reward in this month. Is there a way to have a refound for that crowns spent?

Sorry, but you just ended paying the same amount for the mount and pet. So it wasn't a complete loss.

I get that people are not on the forum. I get that they are not reading the news articles that ZOS puts out. I get that they are not on social media. Some people just dive into the game and don't really pay attention to what is happening outside of the game.

There is a daily announcement about Murkmire being a daily reward for November. There is an in-game notice on the Murkmire tooltip when purchasing the DLC by itself that will tell you that Murkmire is a daily reward for November. When purchasing the collection, the bundle details for Murkmire will tell you that Murkmire is a daily reward for November.

I get that people don't always read the fine print, but this time ZOS did their part in telling people. Yeah, it sucks when someone does not notice. For that they can try to get a refund, by opening a CS ticket. That will probably only work for the DLC, not the collector's bundle, but I would try anyway. At worst, they will say "no".

Nothing wrong with this. The crown purchase is for those that cannot wait. Just same as pre-ordering COD or battlefield at inflated price in order to get 2 weeks early Access.

Although op is crying no doubt he has murkmire plans and gear on the trade post at excessive prices

btw. here is the original news article from mid September where we first knew it was going to be a free reward, not counting actual live announcement during ESO live twitch stream

    https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/54803

relevant quote - we knew it was going to be free before we even knew exact release date
The Elder Scrolls Online: Murkmire is coming soon for ESO Plus members and the in-game Crown Store, and it will be available as a Daily Reward for the month of November. This new DLC game pack will arrive with Update 20, a free base-game update for all ESO players

and before anyone says "oh its hidden" those things are plastered all over the game launcher AND if you signed up for news mailings? they email them to you. that is NOT counting their social media presence (they announce those there as well)

P.S. as a subscriber the way I see it - this is part of the reason they added all those extra subscription perks - including monthly freebies. and if I ever for any reason drop subscription, that DLC will be accessible to me without having to buy it, so.. /shrug

your assuming that everyone who plays ESO watches the Twitch streams, opts-in for the mailings and reads the articles on the game website or even visits this forum, murkmire has not been mentioned at all on the console launcher only the recently added daily reward token.
