Maintenance for the week of June 1:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – June 1

I think it is about time we need to get this combat pet blocking interactable objects fixed.

I've made it a habit of when doing crafting dailies and if a character has pets I unsummon them so
    A I don't block others
B I don't block myself from interacting with said items or whathaveyou.

Case in point I believe many of us have had problems where someone's combat pet would block an object and we can't interact/loot with various objects because of the combat pets.

I wished pets in most games worked more like diablo, I especially liked that pets were "ghosted" to other players to a heavy degree, I get so annoyed in games when someone has a bunch of pets or minions and I cannot see through them or mistake them for enemies (nekros in warframe especially)

but in diabo 3 if someone has pets you see a very faint "ghost" of the pet, enough to know its there or see it moving but can easily see through it and not be distracted by it.

    game got too disappointing.

We should get the choice so putting this in our character menu could solve the issue:
    "show/hide other players' non-combat pets"
"turn/restore other players' combat pets into their equivalent avatars (matriarch into fly / clanfear into daedrat / bear into skeever)"
    Please make it so!

I'm sometimes annoyed by my own twilight pet, especially in closed environments (like delves), those pesky wings are always between the camera and the container I'm trying to open, so I always unsummon in cities; that said, allowing to interact with object through the pets would be great

I wish I could adjust the distance my twilight keeps from me (within reason, of course).
Just a few feet further behind me, or a few feet larger radius further away from me, and behind me, when not playing her combat role.

She's always flapping her wings just a little to close to me in delves, when I'm trying to interact with hot-spots, or look at details.

Vivec City, somewhere in the afternoon. I log into one mule to drop some things on the bank for other chars. Banker is standing in that tiny cubicle which forces players to stack to be able to interact with them.

Except there was this huge-ass bear standing ON the counter, between the banker and everyone else.

People wiggled around. People jumped like mad to try and get on the other side of the counter. People had to get creative because the NPC was fully eclipsed by a giant pet which would not move and was blocking interaction. Annoying to say the least. At least the owner only stayed there for a couple of minutes. Still aggravating if you're in a rush.

I'm convinced the devs think this is hilarious. There's enough things that seem like trolling to where I doubt they would ever stop this.

Alinor in particular needs a few more 'tellers' at additional queues in the bank.
It's not like there's an NPC labor shortage.

Yeah, they like to sit right on top of me. Would be nice if they moved back behind me to a range that was just outside of the selection range for item and NPCs. That would keep them from getting in the way at merchants, stations, etc.

And add an option to make pets invisible for other players...nothing like having a flying pet covering you all you screen. :s

Despite me telling him several times to move his [censored] bear, he stood there for 5 minutes fiddling with his bags or whatever, before finally getting out of there so I was able to hand in my alchemy quest.

Does the chat window show up while you look through the inventory, though?
Maybe he only saw the messages after closing the bag

The chat window could 'ding' an audible, and flash the border of a bank/inventory window any time a message targeted to the player is received.
No reason this couldn't be done.

It'd also help alert the player in combat, or when the window is minimized or scrolling text when looting or turning in writs, that a communication was pending.

I think I like the semi transparent unless you are engaged in pvp against them but also add the feature of interact through them if you are not engaged in hostility against them.

I've startled my roommate by suddenly yelling "MOVE" at my pet on my screen. Stupid creature constantly runs and stands on what I'm trying to loot. It isn't always convenient to dismiss him, but truthfully I want to KILL him instead at a certain point.

It's annoying but my cat gets in my way in RL so I'm used to it. Adds a bit of annoying realizm to the game IMO. I've thought this is a pain though at times but kind of cool also.

This! And let the combat pets fade away or disappear when not in combat, and re-appear when in combat. Not disappear to where you have to recast, but visually disappear when not in combat. That damn matriarch getting in the way of EVERYTHING is why I made a new character for DPS and stopped using my PetSorc.
