Magicka Detonation and Morph Not Buffed wtih the Soulshine 5-piece Bonus.

On Pc/NA if that helps. Anyways, the 5-piece bonus of the Soulshine Set is to add 450 Spell Damage to cast-time and Channeled abilites (Well 450 if all pieces are at gold quality)

Magicka Detonation and its morph Inevitable Detonation both have a cast time of 1.5s But arent effected by this bonus whatsoever as far as I can tell via the tooltips in game.

I'll attach a few potato quality screenies of the tooltips, but to be honest the difference between the first pic, and the second damage wise is due the piece of the soulshine set Im removing is an Infused magicka Chest piece. wtih a little over 1k magicka bonus on it.

Heres the pic with the 5-piece of soulshine active, but the only damage bonus Im gaining is from the boost in Magicka from the enchantment on my armor.

And heres the tooltip after I take that piece off, once more, damage reduction is due to the lose of an infused enchantment on a chest piece.

    Detonation is not considered to be a channelled. It´s a direct damage ability.

    It affects templars Solar Flare, and its morph Dark Flare as well. which is a cast time Direct damage ability as well.

    Neither morph of Magicka Detonation has a cast time. They have arm times, but you are not stuck in an animation casting them, so they count as instant cast. For the same reason, Haunting Curse and Unstable Core's secondary explosion aren't buffed by Soulshine.

    Sigh, honestly thats more reasonable a response. But then we open the can of worms that if thats true, the tool tip of "Cast time" on the skill info needs to be renamed to "arm Time" or the like to differentiate between the two.

    That or Arm Time skills need to be counted along with cast time skill buffs (Which is basically only this set, huh?), which... why aren't they...? You're not stuck in channeling of skills, yet they're buffed.

    EDIT: Also wait, how would Either of those skills be BUFFED by soulshine when you dont have a cast time on them....? Those are both instant cast to apply.

    So all that stuff I just said, scratch it out, and throw it away, invalid, still bugged!

    It's been a long time since I used the unmorphed skill. Are you actually locked in an animation for 1.5 seconds? "Cast time or channeled" means that you are locked into an animation and cannot do anything else until the skill is finished firing off.

    Yes, the original skill and the morph pictured in my original post both have a 1.5 cast time animation, then its applied, and after 4 seconds it detonates.

    theres one morph that removes the cast time and makes you the center of the blast instead.
