I think it is about time we need to get this combat pet blocking interactable objects fixed.

Case in point I believe many of us have had problems where someone's combat pet would block an object and we can't interact/loot with various objects because of the combat pets.

    Bump. Just bump.

Nothing more to say actually. I want just make sure @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_MichaelServotte @ZOS_BillE @ZOS_GaryA have seen this.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

Personally I still think having combat pets out should get you a nice little fine from the city guard... I mean, bears and daedra without leash and muzzle? Sheesh, what are people thinking... ;)

I'm sometimes annoyed by my own twilight pet, especially in closed environments (like delves), those pesky wings are always between the camera and the container I'm trying to open, so I always unsummon in cities; that said, allowing to interact with object through the pets would be great

It's past time something is done about this.

While this is probably the easiest solution I also highly support the often mentioned idea to make combat pets invisible in all towns and cities. Even better, an option to hide the pets all the time while not in combat.
Or give us a way to quickly unsummon and resummon all pets while not in combat. Like a keybind or something.

Yesterday some Warden had his bear parked on top of the alchemy daily writ handin container, literally blocking it off entirely, with no possible way to interact with the box. Despite me telling him several times to move his [censored] bear, he stood there for 5 minutes fiddling with his bags or whatever, before finally getting out of there so I was able to hand in my alchemy quest.

This [explicit] is getting worse every day. And it's a friggin annoyance to have to deal with people's menageries of circus animals everywhere near crafting stations, quest containers and NPCs.

That would be nice. Pets are torture around anything interactive-- and I'm not even talking about other people's.

Does the chat window show up while you look through the inventory, though?
Maybe he only saw the messages after closing the bag

Additionally I'd vote to change the stupidly flapping matriarch into something like a dovah fly ;).

Yes, only use it in dungeons then healing.
on the other hand you have the stamsorc bank alt with twilight, clanfear and an pony pet.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

Doesn't matter. If you find your fat bear on top of a crafting hand in location, the polite thing to do is gtfo out there so other people can hand them in too.

Plus, I pelted him with mudballs continually when he didn't react to my whispers. Either he was deliberately trolling, or just ignorant and couldn't care less.

Pet users and mount riders. People who ride up atop an NPC and not dismount. People who ride up in front of you at a dolmen, fail to dismount, then go afk forever. Oh, and then there are those who refuse to stow their assistants.

Pets are a part of the problem, the other, most important part, is utterly thoughtless people.

Okay, that's my rant. It's pervasive in all MMORPGs and there's nothing to do for it.

You never had a dog in RL, you did not take him with you for a trip, or just to make a poop :).

I wasn't trying to justify him in any way, and I think that he should have apologized once he found your messages.
I don't unsummon my warden's bear in town because it costs ultimates to resummon, but I try to be brief near crafting stations and NPCs, to minimize the hassle for other players.

A change in pets AI that makes them stand a certain distance from interactable objects would lessen the pain

No, the closest I got was joining my wife (just a friend at the time) when she took her dog for a walk.
Still, when I see all those pets idly standing around while their owners get mauled by daedra at a dark anchor I find it equal parts disturbing and funny

yes. I'm tired of maneuvering around pterodactyls and bears trying to use a crafting station/writ turn in container/door/merchant. there's no reason to have pets out constantly.

I think that if we stop moving, it should land. It has feet, use the dag burned things.

In any case, I have written suggestions on pets blocking things in the past, probably more than once, and this problem has been mentioned here in the forum. I doubt they will fix it. They have such a massive list of little things that they could change or fix in the game to improve it that any given one of them has no chance of ever seeing the light of day. When they pull one out of the hat, it is like winning the lottery.

Having it land then not moving like the grifon or dragon pet had been nice and realistic, a bit more delay perhaps.

The Twilight does seem to be the most annoying, as it doesn't have a constant hitbox. The flapping wings can flash the interaction on and off, and your timing is always wrong, by the same rules that run RNG.

Autodespawn in crafting, trading and writ hand-in areas only? Seems like enough finesse here xD

Vivec City, somewhere in the afternoon. I log into one mule to drop some things on the bank for other chars. Banker is standing in that tiny cubicle which forces players to stack to be able to interact with them.

Except there was this huge-ass bear standing ON the counter, between the banker and everyone else.

People wiggled around. People jumped like mad to try and get on the other side of the counter. People had to get creative because the NPC was fully eclipsed by a giant pet which would not move and was blocking interaction. Annoying to say the least. At least the owner only stayed there for a couple of minutes. Still aggravating if you're in a rush.

Yes there's another banker nearby. But what when this happens in crafting stations? Or writ delivery boxes? You just stand there, wait, and complain about no bear parking on the premises.

Make combat pets invisible to everyone but the owner when not in combat. Problem solved.

I'm convinced the devs think this is hilarious. There's enough things that seem like trolling to where I doubt they would ever stop this.
