'Niché' builds and changes to abilities.

Thank you for ruining my favorite Warden build. My main character (Warden) ran a frost tank build with focus on maximum health. The main two damage abilities in my build was Gripping Shards and Arctic Blast. I chose my race (Imperial) and gear (which I upgraded to legendary) for this specific build. I could either go full health (64 000) or get both stamina and magicka to 20K while keeping health at 57K.

I might have been in a minority, but I enjoyed Winter's Embrace and the damage based on % maximum health. I lost my main damage (AoE) ability and I gained a useless stun. The entire build (One Handed + WInter's Embrace) got destroyed with that one change, a change that no one asked for.

I understand that I'm playing a niché build and this might happen, but the reason I chose ESO was because of the option to build your character in many unique ways, and I'm not feeling this anymore. Took a break from this game because of the bugs, I return on the very day that the patch is released and I do not understand the reason for not only the Warden changes, but for the other changes as well.

    It wasn't overpowered, there weren't any complaints. For the life of me, I can't see a reason for this change. As long as there is no harm done to the community (overpowered, etc), I see no reason to make changes like these.

    I wish I had been able to try out sap tanking, as from what I've read, it looks very fun.

    its because the community keeps crying about everything unique to the point that this is going to be called light attack online. Thats the ultimate truth. ZoS is nerfing everything unique, everyone must be the same. All classes must be the same because the petulant children on the forums dictate it to be. And ZoS is listening.

    That's the problem with having to balance both pvp and pve together. In PvP, having a level playing field is what separates the good and the great. pve however is more forgiving in terms of builds and numbers are all that matters.

    Sap tanking was awesome because siphoning strikes wasnt what it is right now. being able to regain resources while being hit and hitting enemies was something only NB's have. was good for trials? not in certain fights and certainly not when you have DKs as the main tank. but it was viable.

    I agree that the change was a poor change as the skill would be a poor choice for a DPS to use just for a stun as it would be aa bad heal for them. I already changed my morph.

    Though I cannot fathom why the gear is gold out other than just wanting it to be. For the most part half serious raid groups tend to have sets in mind that help the group and the little damage the build contributed would not be that significant.

    But again, the change Zos made to the one skill was a poor choice and whoever thought it should be made was ill advised.

    I don't raid with the build. It's for dungeons and solo play.

    I very rarely needed a healer, and I could keep my group alive without a dedicated healer. Arctic blast was a key factor when it came to damage. The damage was great when you sit on 55-65k health.

    They MUST separate PVP and PVE rule sets completely.. otherwise, it will be only worse with each patch.
