We can change and customize our outfit but why not our mount saddle? just saddle

✭YesSure.. why not, but more importantly, I just want footrest on the saddle. It just look so uncomfortable for the toons to be galloping on the mount and both the feet are just hanging on the side of the mount. Urrgh..

✭✭✭✭✭YesWhat do you count as the saddle?
For the basic horses (including gem store horses) it's very clear what's the saddle and what's part of the mount itself, but what about something like the Psijic Escort mount? (Which has a saddle with flaps hanging down, and a blanket under that and some sort of harness coming around the front) How much of the tack covering the horse counts as saddle and can be dyed and how much is part of the base mount and cannot be dyed?
Can you only dye the red and black saddle on the sabre cat, or does it include the black part under that? Is there any point in dying the saddle if you can't dye the armour on it's head and neck to match? Same with the unicorn - is it just the actual saddle or the blanket under it too?
And so on.
I like the idea of being able to dye the saddle, but I feel like if you can only change the one part your character sits on and not the rest of the stuff the mount is wearing then it's a pointless change for a lot of them, and could be frustrating because players will buy a new mount thinking they can change the colours on the stuff they don't like only to find they can't. (For example a lot of people didn't like the original sabre cat mount because of the gold armour.)
But it's highly unlikely ZOS would let us change everything the mount is wearing because it limits their ability to sell recolours and could cause additional problems, for example dying the Imperial warhorse - which is entirely covered with a blanket - so at first glance it looks like the Alliance warhorse...for an enemy alliance. Why not a full "mount outfit system"???
Something that allows us to change ALL mount equipment pieces, in both color and style? Keeping the basic mount appearance (like, if the horse is brown, black, white or flaming, etc.) but allowing us to select several styles of saddle, bags, armor, etc (and selling new "extra nifty" styles in the crown store, naturally)...1 -

But my Black Senche Lion is perfect as he is. He is the unseen king of the jungle, he is Aslan of the night, he is the best that elsweyr has to offer and the ideal companion for my Khajit stamblade warrior. Together they vanish at will and with mutual respect they ride through the night.
Unless he specifically asks for the change, I will never consider such a thing.0 -
