I'd pay for it, like the ones from Skyrim

It would be great if they were invisible when sheathed, so your weapons appear as you draw them.
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

Hmmm... bound weapons... as outfit motiv?
Now -that- is a good idea!!!

An "etheral weapons" motiv series, various styles of weapons made of mystic energy... they could do multiple flavors, purple-black dark magic weapons, red-brown blood magic weapons, cyan-blue ghost magic weapons, white-gold holy magic weapons, greenish nature magic weapons, blue-white ice magic weapons, yellow-orange fire magic weapons, blue-purple lightning magic weapons, grey-brown earth magic weapons...

Yeah, so the effect is like you conjuring up the weapon to use!

Like i said, it would be nifty, and I would certainly buy that for my crowns!

Yeah it would look amazing if you were going for a conjuring warrior!

I would preffer them as an active ability that changes Your dmg type of light and heavy attacks into magic dmg.

    And that would be silly.

Stamina characters are still all about physical damage generated by musclepower.
Magica characters are still all about flashy spells generated by arcane energies.

A "bound weapon" is simply a magically created item that does physical damage through musclepower. Magica may however add into it, as I would presume better magic makes for a sharper bound weapon or somesuch.

And we have that already. Templar golden spears, nightblade red daggers and bow, dragonknight lava whip, or fighters guild dawnbreaker.
All "weapons conjured up by magic and then swung at your enemy", and technically they ought to bloody well be half-half stamina and magica skills, but since the game system is not set up that way they usually go with the magica and just have a stamina morph... and its all right since they need to be conjured up for every blow.

And I know a great many people want their magica characters to have all the weapon options so they can be just like stamina characters, just with some combination they deem more effective... and I say, that is not a good thing for the game, to make characters more similar. Way more fun in have them more diverse!

But as appearance-only option... bring it on!

What is silly is how much theorycrafting You did around that . Concept is simple You chargre Your weapon with magic changing it into magic object that deals magic/daedric or however You want to call it damage that will scale out of spell penetration , spell dmg , spell crit and max magicka. By the way weaving with the staff requires more muscle power then using some of the many one handed weapons so your muscle power argument kinda falls apart.

...and that is -exactly- what rune enchantments are all about.

And how exactly does "charging" a weapon -change- it from a physical weapon to a magic spell?
Does your phone change into a lightning bolt every time you charge it? Or does it stay a cellphone, only now charged with the arcane power of electricity to be useful for more then a paperweight (or extra armor if you have one of those old Nokias of legend... :p;) )?

"Charging" a weapon would not turn it into a magic spell, it would... add some magic damage to the weapons usual impact.

    JUST like enchantments do.

So I am sorry, but... you are using the wrong argument here.

And how many fireballs have you waved into existance with sheer musclepower, hmmm?
Even anime used "chi" explainations for those! (and anime is often pretty short on explainations for stuff!)
So, even in worlds where magic exists, -noone- goes around punching balls of fire into existance through sheer musclepower, or creating bolts of lightning through clenching their buttocks extra hard...

On the other hand, those who -do- throw balls of fire and bolts of lightning do so through the power of magicka, mana, chi, ki, astral energy, MP, whatever the particular universe calls it.

Not by simply swinging their staves as hard as possible at the enemies - doing damage by hitting them hard with a staff is once again the domain of (stamina powered) martial artists. And yeah, I do want a bo staff in ESO, and am sad they did not give us one yet!

Also, just waving a staff around without the need to put any real power behind the blow because its just part of the ritual to create a fireball is quite different from putting your back into a weapons swing to punch through medieval armor, just saying. And don't even get me started on the pull weight of a proper medieval bow...
