Ruined PETs require at least health bar interface solution.

Pets are totally ruined as well as pet sorcs are totally useless with all the recent nerfs.
However, this situtaion highlights more the other old issue that still not resolved - the healthbar interface solution for your pets.
When your pets die like flies it became necessary to have their health (and death) monitoring tool on the screen.
Don't tell me that healthbars over their heads are usefull. It's not. Especially when it comes to a bloody mess with many people and mobs around, or when your pet is just behind you.
However, this situtaion highlights more the other old issue that still not resolved - the healthbar interface solution for your pets.

✭✭✭Yep. Not a very complicated request, many games have done it well. This game is terrible at tracking your pets health.
It should be as easy as seeing group members.8 -

Tried to find appropriate addon but the only Pet Health is "Disabled by author request".1 -

✭Totally agree. It will be much more convenient than to keep your eye on the skill bar during the fight and track when scamp's picture turns blue instead of purple.1 -

That doesn't help much if your pet is behind you or in the middle of a bunch of players and NPC's.4 -

Malem_Benign✭✭✭Something strange has happened to Pet Health, after this topic was posted.
Now it is accessible from esoui, and it is possible to wonload pervious versions. But when you try to download the latest one - it says download complete wiuthout actually saving file, and when hitting "problem" it says "Disabled by author request".
Does author read this topic? Does your addon back online or not?0 -

Well... it IS useful, albeit not perfect. I've saved my pets from death many times because of those health bars, however I do understand that's not always the case. Still not need for hyperbole, they are mildly useful."You must defeat me every time. I need defeat you only once"0 -

What_In_Tarnation✭✭✭✭Well, I did notice they fixed pet issue from the last patch note, so I think I'm going to try my pet sorc again. gear up my necroptence and go do some world bosses dailies. Oof, my pet still died really quick cause the A.I is just dumb and don't know how to move out of boss aoe.
Lots of players are doing the same world boss, I have to re-summon my pet every few seconds and even use ward on it. And it still died so fast. Guess I'll just use some other sets and get rid of my pet for now.
Well, I know pets are invnicible in dungeons, group arena and trials. at this point that you have to prepare 2 setups, 1 for overland and another one for group/trials stuff. it's just really silly to me. So, I'm going to get rid pet and stop using necropotence for now. not to mention pets are totally weird in trials.1 -

✭On console, so no access to this pet health addon (regardless if it's online or not), so a quick fix would simply be to have their health bars in the base UI just like group members' health bars are displayed when in a group of other players.
For actual group play, they could either:- Show only on the pet caster's UI as a separate column and/or different color (<---- preferred), or
- Show to the whole group's UI as a different color or in a different location
Would be a lot easier having a fixed position health bar to look for rather than trying to track down a pet with unpredictable AI (read: warden bear).
Definitely room for improvement either way.Feric51

firedrgn✭✭✭✭✭Pets have some issuses. They are getting lost and not targeting when you heavy attack. You dind them off in some corner attacking some single npc.
Also they are dieing in dungeons alot. City of ash and spindle for sure.0
