The recipes at the guild traders are put there by players, which means the recipe won't be there later unless someone else puts it up for sale at that specific vendor.

Now, if you're talking about the normal "green"-level recipes for the crafting writs, those are sold by chefs and brewers in taverns. All other recipes are found randomly on guild traders.
