Moving Items in the house

Not a complaint. But is decorating really as stressful as I'm making it? I get an item lined up and..whoops, its off a little, lemme just select that and rotate it...then when you select it it snaps back and moves. Is their a way to manually move items in a 3d space without having to move my character? What I'm getting at is with Star Wars Galaxies you could select something, then move it using key commands without moving your character. So any mods for this?

mayasunrising✭✭✭✭✭Do you have the Essential Housing Tools add-on installed @Crimsonorion ? It allows you to move object without moving your character...and a ton of other cool stuff like animations!

✭✭✭✭✭The housing system still being tied to the character is a huge pain, I hope in future ZOS finds a way to separate it.
