Is Craglorn for groups?

I leveled to CP 160 mostly in Summerset and later doing dungeons and bought some nice gear and upgraded my weapon to legendary. Figured I might start a new zone. I went to Craglorn. The quests are not that bad, but there are some group zones I noticed (mobs killed me in a couple of seconds) and also Delves seem REALLY hard.
In Summerset I was able to solo pretty much everything including group dungeon (the only exception being world bosses) but in Craglorn I can solo only some quests.
Did I pick the wrong zone?

in Craglorn you can solo main quest line. It's actually easiest among any others, most of main story bosses have less than 70k hp. Like two trash mobs.

Craglorn was originally designed for groups before One Tamriel. Some of thr quests and delves still are.

That was before CP were a thing and Craglorn was a new group based "adventure zone".

These days you can solo almost all of it except where group specific mechanics prevent you from progressing. The group delves are a push over, the world bosses and nirncrux mines are still challenging but really more than anything just a test in solo sustain.

I have high damage, some but low healing and running around in medium armor and a 2-hander, playing barbarian style. I get killed pretty easily. I guess that I should just avoid most group content playing this way.
    Thanks for the replies.

Shada's Tear is a fun challenge, has some good story, instanced to you, and had some decent mechanics besides full burn on the boss until you win.

Yeah, you'll need decent resistances and a good burst heal, like i said above, most of those fights are about your ability to sustain and not necessarily about pure damage.

Groups aren't a necessity anymore, but they definitely help the content go more easily. However you might find some of the Bosses in the Quests to still be more than capable of giving you a whoopin by yourself.

The group delves will probably be doable if you take one other person with you. No need for a full 4-person group.

The quest line is really cool (and it sort of ties into the Trials questlines too). And the daily quest areas (Shada's, Rahni-Za, Elinhir and Skyreach are pretty fun as well.

With CP at just 160, yes, you'll likely need a group for most of Craglorn. As others have said, the main story is pretty much soloable

Also, learning to dodge roll can help, as can some health. Check the death recap to figure out where the one shot threshold is, and get above that. (Off hand, it's probably 13-14k in Craglorn, but I'm not sure off hand.) Then, when you see a power attack coming, dodge away from that. Don't stand in the red.

I mean, we're calling it easy here, but Craglorn does require you understand how to play more difficult content. Once you're there it becomes very easy.

I hear you, I did some new quite hard dungeons as a tank and it went pretty well.
However I think it's down to my low resistance, low hp and almost non existant self healing coupled with a group content. The first delve I entered with my character had 4 linked mobs. 2 of them would give me trouble. I managed to kill all 4 of them a few times but the delve boss was basically impossible so I just snatched the skyshard and gave up.

I've seen several suggestions that 15k health is a good minimum for any role, and not just in Craglorn. Just remember that you don't have to put points in health to get there. Enchantments etc. can be all you need.

Yeah, that's a good target. Vet dungeons and trials you may want to aim for 17-18k after your food buff is on. 13k will work for most normal content, if you don't plan on touching vet.

Yeah, as has been said, originally ALL of craglorn was groupy. Then they nerfed the main questline, and most of overland and the upper craglorn dwelves down to standard levels with OneTamriel... and left the lower craglorn dwelves and some questings at the groupy stage.

Which means craglorn dwelvers are -hard- and really good places to test your builds, see how far you can go. Good people -can- solo them. But most will be in trouble (I know I often am when I go there, though the few times I -do- manage to take down one of those fights are all the sweeter!)
