DPS ceinling on my pet sorc

Hello, everyone.
I'm currently running a pet sorc DPS and seem to have attained a ceiling, DPS wise.
I've heard that pet sorc can do 30k DPS (maybe more), but I can't seem to be able to go over 21-23K DPS.
Obviously, it's still not bad, but I'm wondering what I could do to increase it, and maybe start trials (wich often require 25k+)
I'm running 5 necropotence, 5 julianos, 2 Ilambris, all in gold (except the necro rings, wich are purples). 5 light, 1 med and 1 heavy to benefit from the undaunted passives.
I'm able to succeed light attack weaving (I think) on most skills I use.
My rotation is as follows (I won't talk about the light attacks, but consider there's one before every skills)
Fire elem blocade -> liquid lightning -> familiar pulse -> matriarch tormentor (only if ennemy > 50% life ofc) -> daedric pray -> heavy attack -> restart.
I slotted inner light on both bars, and use my ult (greater atronach) as soon as available.
I stand at 53k max magicka.
Where would I have to look to better myself?

I was using Haunting Curse since I use it in PvP and didn’t want to re-morph. If using Daedric Prey, cast it each rotation. You could also drop Curse and double bar Empowered Ward...still plenty of DPS.
I’d replace Elemental Drain with Empowered Ward/Boundless Storm in situations where it’s already provided. The Matriarch gives amazing burst heals in a pinch, too.

I think about a MagSorc rotation as 8 skills (1 per second - shortest dot is 8 seconds which is when it repeats). This setup is two dots (3 with Curse/Prey) and a spammable:
Liquid Lightning>Blockade>(Curse/Prey)>Crushing Shock x3>Heavy Attack (counts as 2 seconds)>repeat.
Light attacks between everything!2 -
ScottMcPotSoul ShrivenI use lightning blockade since you do more damage with lightning as a sorcerer. Also something I found out is the aoe dots you place like liquid lightning and elemental blockade can be enhanced through weapon swapping. I run them on the back bar and switch to front bar with bound aegis and inner light. I'm still only pulling 15k on the 3 mil dummy but hopefully that helps some.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I think you are clipping DoTs with that rotation, since it is 7s long and you have some skills that are 8s and 10s. Also last time I tested it, activating the Twilight Tormentor was not worth it (better to just let it passively deal damage while you use other skills), and without that your rotation is only 6s.
Try this rotation, adding in Shock Clench as an additional DoT:

This is 9s and it results in 4/5 Familar pulses getting buffed by Daedric Prey (pulses 1,2 from the preceding prey and pulses 4,5 from the following prey). The timing is very close, and being a few milliseconds late on Daedric prey causes the 4th Familar pulse to be unbuffed.
Another option that I have not tested would be the new Blackrose Lightning staff and using Elemental Ring instead of Shock Clench for an 8s DoT.
As for sets, Necro is definitely a good one. I would avoid Julianos since pets don’t benefit from Spell damage. A crit set like Mother’s Sorrow is also good for pets, but stay away from Mechanical Acuity (uptime is bad on a DoT build after Summerset changes). Another option is Siroria if you are stationary, since Minor Slayer buffs pets, and it gives enough Spell damage that it’s worth bugging your non-pet skills. Infallible aether is also a good set for a lightning heavy attack build, and gives minor slayer and Spell crit, but often healers use it in trials so it might be redundant.0 -

✭Thanks, WrathOfInnos. Lots of good advice, there. Since I don't have access to trial gear right now, I was thinking of switching julianos for destruction mastery, to get 2.5k max mag more. It would be better than julianos, I think ..
Really interresting, ScottMcPot. So, If your spell damage increase when you switch bar, current DoT increase as well? I was thinking of slotting meteor as an ult, on the bar I spend the most time on, to benefit from the mage guild's passive, but I wasn't sure it would work like that.0 -
ScottMcPotSoul ShrivenI'm not really sure but I'm assuming it would with how the aoe dots work. Right now I have wise mage set to go on when I switch to my main bar from the staff and it seemed like the damage went up after I got the set.0

✭I pull 45k on my pet sorc. 30k is definitely not the ceiling.
Setup: Necro, Mothers sorrow, ilambris, vma lightning. Flame enchant back bar, shock front, both infused.
build: double pet, bound ageis, mage light, prey, destro ult front bar. Back: double pet, LL, wall, surge/weakness for parses, storm atro ult.
