The entitlement level in this topic is too damn high! Sure, let's 2/3 of the playerbase suffer because somebody has unusual working hours... /sarcasm off
The current maintenance time is the best choice for NA and EU (sleep/work), why would they change it? I'm sorry it's inconvenient for you, but you are in minority. As for the frequency... I suppose it could be done better, but I'm not an expert.

I agree with you in general which is why I have said that 9-10 AM EST would be the best for maintenance because at that time of day most people in NA are either sleeping or just getting up to go to work or school and thus probably not on ESO.:(

Honestly, how many people do you think are really playing at 4 am? Enough that Zenimax shouldn't do their maintenance at that hour. But not enough to change the EU hour.
Game companies take down the server once a week for patch/maintenance?? What the hell/// When did that start??
Oh, yeah. 1995.
Its always been this way, and to be 100% fair to ZOS I've seen far, FAR worse. I've seen 16 hour downtimes on major updates in top name games. I've seen rollbacks and loss of items from an infamous MMO with over 10 million alleged subscribers where you had patches to patch the patch that the repatch patched, in the same week.
I've seen gnomes naked!
Trust me, it could be worse.

It could also be a lot better, the rest of the IT world has moved on, most online services these days don't go down for regular maintenance, they only have downtime in exceptional circumstances.
There are even games that manage to do this, Guild Wars 2 for example a game released 2 years before ESO has been down only a handful of times in 6 years.

4am for who? And why do you think you're an authority on the schedules of the player base all over the world, when your own schedule puts you in the least populated time on your server?
