Last year it had to be specifically added to the store post Crown Store showcase, to accompany the matching horse. The pony was not included in the Reapers Harvest Crown Crates like the rest of the Shadowghost pets.

The Shadowghost horse has come back for a limited time and the matching pony seems to have been completely forgotten this year.
