I like running the different content.

I dislike having 7 different 20 hr timers to track, and only the Daily Random Dungeon actually has an in-game timer.

My solution has been to run the Daily Random Dungeon last, so that if that timer is purple, all my other Dremora Skulls are available.

The only part of it I'm doing is getting a skull and event ticket a day so eventually I'll have (I hope) enough feathers for an indrik.

Generally, I'm not into stuff like this at all. And if it turns out that I DO get enough feathers, and then the damn berries turn out to require some sort of major group content to access, I'm not going to be a happy camper. At all.

Hopefully the berries will be like the feathers, where you can buy them after the fact. So even if you can't do all the events, like the Midyear Mayhem PVP event, you can still buy the berries when you get enough from the events you can do.

Well, that would be excellent! I don't really know how stuff like this works out in this game yet. Thanks for the info. I'm sort of a "not holidayish" person, so if I didn't want the mount, I wouldn't be doing any of this at all....

It's alright. Like, I enjoy collecting the motif pages and stuff. It's also given me chance to experience trials for the first time and those are quite fun (if you have the right team lol). I've been able to make a lot of gold because of the event items, too.

Mostly by ignoring it. Am doing the bare minimum necessary - want to have dremora style for my two main crafters (still missing a couple of the more effort intensive chapters) and want to get enough tickets to buy the darn feather.

The rest is just so much irritating grind.

I would not mind getting the apple bobbing memento or some of the furnishing plans and items, but there is no way in hell I am willing to grind enough skulls to accomplish that. 98% of them contain crap, crud and junk going straight to the trash pile waiting to be vendored off.

I do not find RNG based nonsense entertaining - at this point, I rather grind some gold and buy the things I want, instead of wasting my time chasing for plunder skulls only containing disappointment and frustration.

There is nothing festive about logging on and working though a "to-do" list each day in order to get "maximum" rewards. A real festival would not be based around doing base content, we've already done to death, in hopes of getting lucky and being rewarded with something neat. A true festival would have thematic activities that were fun enough to do, so that doing them would be the reward itself. But whatever... ESO is RNG fest through and through.

I farmed for the entire dremora motif. Love it.
I managed to get all the parts to the apple bobbing memento. Fun, but I'll probably never use it.
Got the Sun Dusk Reaper's achievement on two characters, and I'm going to try to get it on a third before the event ends. (I like the title.)
Got an entire graveyard full of animal skeletons for my house. I finally got my second ram skull today.

    Overall, awesome.

Except that one time that it got a little too real and I couldn't help but juxtapose it to Chaplain Jorden's quote on the Skull Ponder emote for an additional bit of mind ***.

Now that I have some time off of work, I intend to grab the last dremora motifs I need by finally clearing out the arenas.

My favorite holiday event got a buff! What is there to complain about? I like to compare this event to Trick-Or-Treat festivities. We can choose to visit whatever old or new neighborhoods we prefer and knock on the doors of the bosses who hand out treats. Some of those treats are very tasty, others not so much. Hitting the same house repeatedly leads to diminished rewards. Those who put in the effort to visit all the neighborhoods/houses get the best chances of getting all those king size rewards plus a plethora of junk.

I suggest next year they keep the same concept but also incorporate player housing and costume use. For example, get a plunder skull for each unique player home you visit, or having to change your character appearance each day to reset dremora skull drops. Yeah. That would be neat.

It’s been good. I think it’s a much better designed event encouraging people to do stuff they wouldn’t usually do without forcing them to. Like the Midyear event encourages people to try PvP, this event encourages people to try trials, dungeons and arenas.

I'm all about Halloween-themed events, so I'm enjoying it.

Though it does get really frustrating competing for damage points with a mob of people swarming a group boss so you can score enough damage to earn a skull or your daily ticket.

I like it well enough overall, but maaan all these skulls and stuff are really highlighting my inventory problems!

Having just moved from PC to Xbox, the 100% EXP boost is nice. Created a few new characters and have been bouncing around between them. Got all the Hollowjack pieces, and all of the Dremora pieces except the chest (I'll probably miss out on this one, unless I can find one for cheap). So I've enjoyed it overall.

I can't enjoy it because every time I use the Crow Caller to begin the festival, I'm told that I already completed the festival last year and won't let me go any further. :(

I love the fact that they made a khajiit and argonian skeleton for the polymorph, rather then just reusing the lame default human skeleton like other. Kind of sad that they didn't make one for orc.

I have participated in every Witch's Festival since they started and it's impressive how ZOS find ways to make it better each year. The Dremora skulls were a great addition. It got me to run normal Maelstrom, which I hadn't done in ages.

I prefer this style of event over the ones with a small set of repeatable quests (which get monotonous fast). Getting rewarded for just doing various forms of content out in the world is great, and gives the player the freedom to choose where they get the rewards from, so they can vary it from day to day, keeping it fresh.

I've also been able to make a good bit of money selling the motifs. As others have said, the only downside was not knowing if the timer for the skulls had reset.

It's not much of an event. You just do a quest then keep going about your business like usual. Add some decorations to the cities, and some more witch festival quests.

You don't need to do the quest again just do the 7 events.

I would love more in game info on the timer on event tickets - it's just frustrating not knowing when / which boss to kill to get the next ticket.

Born, Bred & Made in Manchester UK, RIP 22 Angels. 22/05/2017

    PC-EU

The Place by Tony Walsh Please Read
This is the place in the North West of England

It’s ace, it’s the best and the songs that we sing

From the stands, from our bands set the whole planet shaking

Our inventions are legends! There’s nowt we can’t make and

So we make brilliant music. We make brilliant bands

We make goals that make souls leap from seats in the stands

And we make things from steel and we make things from cotton

And we make people laugh, take the mick summat rotten

And we make you at home and we make you feel welcome

And we make summat happen, we can’t seem to help it

And if you’re looking for history then yes, we’ve a wealth

But the Manchester way is to make it yourself

And make us a record, a new number one

And make us a brew while you’re up, love. Go on!

And make us feel proud that you’re winning the league

And make us sing louder and make us believe it

that this is the place that has helped shape the world

And that this the place where a Manchester girl

Name of Emmeline Pankhurst from the streets of Moss Side

Led a Suffragette City with sisterhood pride

And this is the place with appliance of science

We’re on it, atomic, we strut with defiance

In the face of a challenge we always stand tall

Mancunians in union delivered it all

Such as housing and libraries, and health, education

And unions and co-ops, the first railway station

So we’re sorry! Bear with us! We invented commuters!

But we hope you forgive us – we invented computers!

And this is the place Henry Royce strolled with Rolls

And we’ve rocked and we’ve rolled with our own Northern Soul

And so this is the place to do business, then dance

Where go-getters and goal setters know they’ve a chance

And this is the place where we first played as kids

And me Mam lived and died here, she loved it she did

And this is the place where our folks came to work

Where they struggled in puddles, they hurt in the dirt

And they built us a city. They built us these towns

And they coughed on the cobbles to the deafening sound

Of the steaming machines and the screaming of slaves

They were scheming for greatness, they dreamed to their graves

And they left us a spirit, they left us a vibe

The Mancunian Way to survive and to thrive

And to work and to build, to connect and create and

Greater Manchester’s greatness is keeping it great

And so this is the place now we’ve kids of our own

Some are born here, some drawn here but we all call it home

And they’ve covered the cobbles, but they’ll never defeat

All the dreamers and schemers who still teem through these streets

Because this is a place that has been through some hard times

Oppressions, recessions, depressions and dark times

But we keep fighting back with Greater Manchester spirit

Northern grit, northern wit in Greater Manchester’s lyrics

And there’s hard times again in these streets of our city

But we won’t take defeat and we don’t want your pity

Because this a place where we stand strong together

With a smile on our face, Mancunians Forever

And we’ve got this* as the place where a team with a dream (*Forever Manchester)

Can get funding and something to help with their scheme

Because this is the place that understands your grand plans

We don’t do No Can Do, we just stress Yes We Can!

Forever Manchester’s a charity for people round ‘ere

You can fundraise, donate. You can be a volunteer

You can live local, give local. We can honestly say

We do charity differently, that Mancunian Way

And we fund local kids, and we fund local teams

We support local dreamers to work for their dreams

We support local groups and the great work they do

So can you …help us help… local people like you?

Because this is the place in our hearts, in our homes

Because this is the place that’s a part of our bones

‘Cos Greater Manchester gives us such strength from the fact

That this is the place. We should give something back.

Always remember. Never forget. Forever Manchester.

Enjoying the witches festival with a “Gruesome Feast.” Besides, the blackfeather court know how to have a conversation when you bring bowls of pickled Eyeballs to the party.

(One spoke of a recipe long forgotten, a recipe fit for a pack amongst the worshippers of the five aspects, the name isn’t known yet but some believe that any werewolf who devours it whole is capable of retaining their form for longer periods of time as well as showing signs of greater vitality and endurance.)
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.
