[BUG] Cannot interact objects in house bug is back

I couldn't interact with the crafting stations in my own home until I selected and placed one of them again. Then they all start working.

I've seen the same problem in all the guilds I'm in with frequent requests in guild chat for someone with guild house decorating permission to reset the bug for them.

EDIT: It appears all interactive objects are affected.

Yesterday I had this problem with all interactive objects in my Sleek Creek house. All crafting stations, mundus stones, and even my transmute station were unusable. Since housing was introduced, occasionally I've had to reset a station here or there; but I've never had everything fail all at once like this.

I managed to get everything reset and working. Left the house, came back--everything still OK.

Logged out and switched to another toon. Came back to the house on that toon--NOTHING WORKING. I gave up for the night.

I don't usually make "sky is falling" statements about bugs or the developers, but I can't fathom how changes to the housing system that break it so badly were allowed to go live Monday/Tuesday.

It isn't just the crafting stations. When I zone into my house I can't interact with anything, even the lights. Nothing. Reloading the UI doesn't work. The only things that do are to pull up the housing editor and move something, or completely relog.

Went to our guild's hall and could not use a single crating table both yesterday & today. Oddly I could use them on Monday and friend could not.

When I go to my house where I only have edit access. On one character I can interact with the crafting station on another character I can not. I have to go into edit mode click on one station then place it back down. When I get out of edit mode, I can then interact with all of the stations. If I log out and log back in with that same character I will not be able to access the crafting stations until I repeat the same process.

I'm finding that the things that don't work are exactly those denied to a "limited visitor". Can't use stations, or lights. Can use dummies, and assistants.

So this is hit and miss.....

Turned off all add ons on one toon...she went to guild hall & could use them! Slowly turned all back on & she could still use them!

Thinking...maybe this is a work around...I switched to my Grand Master Crafter hoping to do some sealed writs...turned off the add ons...logged in, travel to the hall and he cannot interact with the stations.

Worst part is this is an erratic bug so many are convinced its user or add on error & seems to be off the radar of Devs and much of the player base that is unaffected (for now...)

It's not an add-on issue. This has happened before.

I'm having this problem with my storage chests every time I try to interact with them, even on different toons. Once I click on one and place it again, I can access all of them. I haven't tried the crafting stations. I don't use addons, so it's definitely not that. Never had this problem before.

I have created a Libary with every interactive book in game (about 373 books) and I am finding the same issue.

Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I turned off add on, thought that was the problem, but I've discovered it is random.

Please god........... I can't face having to reset and line up 371 books on various shelves.......

I start having same problem with latest patch. Enter my house and no interactable furniture is working. Go into housing editor select any interacable furnishing and deselect it - everything now works. So dont worry about library, just select a book - do not move it - deselect it.

I pity guild houses cause its going to cause problems.

My guess is bug has returned due to improvements with the housing editor. The editor realy is a lot better, but for this problem.

I'm having the same problem. Chairs and interactables that were fine when I first place them won't work when I load back into the home unless I pick them up and place them back down. =(

This has been happening for some time; it's really annoying to have to reset everything each time I port in my house, especially the crafting stations. Nothing is on a built floor/platform either, everything is placed on the ground.

I'm still having this issue as well. I can't interact with mundus stones, target dummies, crafting stations, storage, banker and merchant.

Is this still happening after today's patch? Also, if you use the Essential Housing Tools addon, that's a quick fix (for the craft stations and dummies). Just toggle on the GUI, go to tools, and select Repair Stations. Resets everything in seconds. As for the chairs, it's happened in previous updates that furniture floats or sinks into the ground and become unusable, so you'd have to reset those manually.

The patch today was supposed to fix the bug.
