Rapids cancelling when other spells cast / MagSorc

After the murkmire patch I am noticing when I cast Rapid Manuevers on my sorcerer and then cast hardened ward, rapids is cancelled and must be recast.

It's suppose to cancel upon casting any other ability.
"Mobilize your forces, granting Major Expedition and Major Gallop to you and your group, increasing your Movement Speed by 30% and Mounted Speed by 30%. Also grants immunity to snares and immobilizations. The effect ends if you cast any spell on an enemy or ally."
Ally includes yourself.2
