I have heard a lot of perspectives of how people enjoy healing over time? So let me ask this question again with a poll.

a) buffing allies
b) debuff eniemes
c) gear choices
d) gear that helps allies
e) testing reaction times
f) saving allies for damage over time
g) using unique skill for class
h)testing field of view
I) pure healing
J) upkeeping buffs

For PVP, I like keeping my allies alive even when loads of enemies are fighting us. Its a challenge, because they've got lots of skills and debuffs and CCs and siege they can use as well, so its not simply braindead heal-spamming like some people expect.

My only eso healer is tiny atm, but other games I've classed as healer (white mage in FFXI, etc) and I suppose it's keeping health bars at max that make it fun/enjoyable. I'm an anxious person in general so if I see others HP go down, I don't like it and NEED to bring it back up, for my own sanity. It's why being DPS mostly in this game is weird for me and why as I magplar DPS I keep one slot open for a healing ability (for myself and others).

So to answer the poll/question thingy, option: I

Other than keeping the team alive, I like

    a) buffing allies
    b) debuff eniemes
    d) gear that helps allies
    J) upkeeping buffs (and debuffs)

... And the knowledge of when pure healing is needed is fun because knowledge thereof is connected to 'knowing' the dungeon.

    Pure healing.

    Buffing Allies.

I like the idea and feel of buffing and debuffing as well, whether that's through various skills or sets.

Pure healing with nothing else can be a little dull after a while as it's just hitting the same buttons over and over.

If it helps any the most fun I ever had "healing" was in Guild Wars (original)
You had two healers in the group, one who handled the healing (healing monk) and the other who handled the mitigation (protection monk), the protection role was really enjoyable.
You would look who's taking heavy damage and apply your skills to mitigate some of that to take pressure of your healing partner. You can AoE skills which you saved and times for big AoE hits to make sure everyone took less damage during that attack.

You could also throw out some debuffs or buff which would help your tanks or DD get that little more damage or apply some bonus status effects.

    For me it is:

    K) Spamming healing springs works far better in laggy situations (such as PC-EU Vivec) than setting up a burst combo of single target spells as it is not that susceptible to lag.
