Are people really that new to mmos where this is a big deal, or have I just gotten old...this is nothing
Some MMO games still have scheduled maintenance every single day.Are people really that new to mmos where this is a big deal, or have I just gotten old...this is nothing

Yes. Down for maintenance three times in four days IS a big deal. It's excessive enough to warrant adding days to the special events the down time is interrupting as well.

EVE does that - and it is great that they do it like that - but then again, downtime there is typically less 15 minutes and even on a patch day, it is rarely more than 30 minutes. This is how a company does it, who has a clue how to do it properly.

Now if they can make a character walk outside a room and interact with other characters, that would be something.

Sadly a lot just use it to get a head start when things go live...also the people that use pts is limited. and some problems will only appear when lie and interacting across many things and so on. Thats just how it goes with mmos
