I can't believe these bugs made it live... : o

Beta testers are too busy practicing trials and dungeons than to look for bugs that won't really effect them because it doesn't help them get a worlds first brag.

ZOS sure has its own QA team, it's not PTS users job to check anything.
I do find it strange that nobody happened to come across the bug fighting World bosses, but there's nothing wrong with people attention being directed elsewhere (the new content).

The bigger question is do any of the new world bosses (or any other new content) have ground effects (like the headless guy) or spawn adds (like the cats or Imperfect) - if not, then that's why it wasn't noticed by people testing new stuff. Quite a substantial amount of content that was released pre-summerset got broken by the summerset update as well.

Sidenote, ground effects I believe have long been invisible people - months ago (no idea on current status) you used to be able to proc SPC on them via a ground based heal and you'd just see the glowing arms and bodies walking around.

I'd post a pic of the Murkmire bug I encountered yesterday, only .... there was nothing to screenshot.
The quest boss never spawned for my quest. (The "Empty Nest" quest .... the "kill Krona" part is the part that's buggy.)

I was waiting and waiting and waiting with a bunch of other people, and finally left after 15-20 minutes of no boss spawn. There was already a thread for this bug in the Bug Reports section, so other people were getting that same bug, too.

    Bugmire.
It's an amazing DLC, but I've never seen so many bugs introduced with a DLC before. Gorgeous place with a great story, though. Otherwise, I'm enjoying Murkmire quite a lot.

To be fair I stopped to report bugs long time ago after seing how ZoS is simply dont care about feedback from PTS. There were many bugs reported during PTS cycles , many of them had even their own forum threads just to be ignored by devs. This is why there are bugs in the game that are here for years now , because ZoS either dont care or dont know how to deal with them. In both cases reporting feels pointless.

I dont know what game you are playing people but I haven't seen a single one of those... also someone should make a slide with all those Obscure Activities and add X-Files soundtrack to them.

What a joke. The new content (Murkmire) is a bug-ridden apple. Looks great on teh outside, but inside ...
    • WBs sometimes respawn, sometimes do not.
    • Quest objects (and quest bosses) decide when they want to spawn like petulant teenagers. Seriously, sometimes even re-logging won't get things to spawn!
    • Bookshelves (in Lilmoth, etc) have an activation hitbox the size of a flea.
    • all THIS and MUCH MUCH MORE!

I can't believe they let this go live. But hey, if it were an ESO+ problem or a crown store problem they would down all the servers for hours in a heartbeat!

It's possible this didn't happen on the PTS, or on ZOS's internal servers. I didn't get around to playing on the PTS this time around, so I'm not sure but I've definitely seen that in ESO before and in numerous other games. Something works fine on the testing server, right up until the final version then - even though nothing is actually changed - a bug appears when it moves over to live. I don't know why it happens, but it does.

That's actually surprisingly common in games. It's one of those weird aspects of game design I find oddly fascinating because it's simultaneously crazy and very sensible.

Here's an article about it, which, in spite of the name covers quite a few different games: https://kotaku.com/the-invisible-bunnies-that-power-world-of-warcraft-1791576630

I remember being surprised when I saw the SPC proccing the first time, then realised it was probably for that reason. Kinda cool and a smart use of existing object pathing behaviour when you think about it (up until the invisible object is suddenly linked to a visible art asset).

With "people" I meant players on the PTS server, and I honestly have no idea if those bugs came out and were reported during the PTS cycle (I rarely venture in PTS or in its forum section).
I don't know what you think is a joke, but I think it's quite natural that players logging in the PTS only checked Murkmire and the PVP changes.

That is no excuse for ZOS, obviously

@ZOS_GinaBruno you guys should really take a look into the statistics and see how many bugs appear with each new content patch. Are those numbers increasing ? And why is stuff wildly spread affected each time something new comes into the game. E.g. sound bugs, that have nothing to do with skill - tweaks or a new zone.
Can´t help it, but instead of getting things better handled it seems to me that the opposite is true. Very disappointed.

Haha, I've gotten this bug before! It's not new with Murkmire, but it's a silly one. Encountered something similar in Skyrim once as well.
Yes, also on tank who just held the sword, no shield.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

omg xD dying laughing over here @ the cwc boss ~
brings back memories of another game that had an infinite spawn bug on some bosses...
the screen shots of my friends and i 'trying to find the end of the pile' are quite similiar xD
ps: there was no end and we eventually died lol
