because then people would do that, instead of buying more crates for something they really want.
that wasn't rhetorical, was it?
Yeah, probably never going to use most of it.
I did get a sweet-roll (!) that was worth 400 gems though, wasn't even tempted to taste that sucker, gemified it immediately ...
Are people really that addicted to gambling? I mean like i said above, this approach actually makes me want to stop spending any more money.

This actually seems counter-productive. As a result I know I won't buy a single *** crate again. I'll just hoard free crates and wait an entire year till the current crates make it back. -.-

If you mean sell to someone else for gold, then that would change the whole "this isn't gambling" line.
If you mean cashing in for gems, I wish it would give us the choice. I only really buy the old crates now that come up on re sale because I know I'll get mostly gems to buy the items from the newer crates that I want unless there is a good mix.

I get crates occasionally, when I know there's something upcoming that I want. The glowgill guar is the one I want next so saving gems for it, but no idea when it's coming or where from. Anyone have any idea? It could be that it's not even from gems and it's going straight in the crown store as a limited time thing.
And yeah I also have loads of stuff in my collection that I'm never gonna use, would be good to be able to trade it for gems and have thought the same thing in the past.
