FYI Bosses in Gold Coast delves give public dungeon Dremora skulls

Edit: Just killed Ironfang and realized he gives drops a public dungeon skull, not a delve skull. That explains why I couldn’t get one from killing actual public dungeon bosses!
Anyone experience this problem? Is there a thread on this already that I missed? I got my delve skull from a Gold Coast delve boss and then when my timer was up on the public dungeon skull I killed a boss in Crow’s Wood and I didn’t get the Dremora sweeper skull. I wrote all my times down so I know I was supposed to get one. Someone on another thread said apparently Gold Coast delve bosses reset the time for public dungeon skulls despite giving you a delve skull. I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t getting my public dungeon skull then I read that and realized I got my delve skull from Gold Coast.

✭✭I guess the question is does it block the delve Dremora skull as well? While it sounds like a bug either way if it doesn't block you from getting a skull from a different delve then you can still get the full number of daily Dremora skulls.0 -
Number_51✭✭✭✭✭It's because Exulus and Ironfang are considered Public/Sweeper bosses. The other two bosses (Zalar-do and Captain Jena Apinia) in those delves are the delve bosses, but I don't think they re-appear after you've completed the quest. No, you can still get a Delve skull from a different delve.
Side note, those mini anchors and geysers that spawn as you're running past certain locations have Public/Sweeper bosses as well. I actually look for those so I don't have to go into a public dungeon.Edited by Number_51 on October 22, 2018 5:20PM2 -

Number_51✭✭✭✭✭Yea, I guess I'll have to pay more attention as well, but I'm fairly sure I get public/sweeper skulls from them. I've been doing Anvil and Kvatch dailies on my EU account pretty much every day, both before and since the festival started, for a few months now.0

✭Just tested it and I was wrong. Delve bosses on Gold Coast give public dungeon skulls, hence why I couldn’t get any yesterday from public dungeons. Guess I just didn’t realize since I looted it so fast. I’ll check to make sure I can still get a delve skull from a base game delve but otherwise I’ve edited the post so it’s a PSA for people who may have been confused like me.Edited by weedgenius on October 22, 2018 6:23PMPS4 NA

This is good to know. I still like the public dungeons because of the concentration of bosses for regular skulls. However I could have gotten a Dremora without paying attention on the way via the Public/Sweeper bosses and been surprised when I didn't get one in the dungeon.

Number_51✭✭✭✭✭Has anyone seen Zalar-do (the vampire lord) and Captain Jena Apinia re-appear in those two Gold Coast delves after they've completed their related quests? I tried waiting for Zalar-do yesterday but grew impatient after a couple minutes. I have a feeling they would drop the Delve skull for those delves. Seems like I've seen them in the time since I completed the quest but it may have been because another player was on that quest.
The two quests in question are The Vampir's Prey, and Debts of War.0 -

Yup. I suspect this is why. Exulus and Ironfang are quest bosses for the Anvil Daily quest. And with that said, the situation is probably the same for Hew's Bane, Orsinium, and Clockwork City where a daily quest sends you into a delve. Unless the whole thing is just a mistake, which isn't an unreasonable assumption either.Edited by Number_51 on October 22, 2018 8:54PM0
