Title. As if we didn't had 90% of population running with staves already. I am really getting tired of this, because i don't get who makes those decisions. Every general patch note i hope for a staff and sorc nerf and HA and DK boost to no avail. Like seriously, can't a melee DK deal some damage too ? why i am forced to constantly be nerfed while struggling with everything already ? i don't even know if VMA is possible on stam DK, i certainly can't do it not even mentioning about pvp. But hey, lets buff those mages even more. They have range, they have whole stamina bar to just sprint away since they use magicka to attack, so lest make them remote nuke machines while i can slog in place taking *** while trying to even get to combat range of sorc to try deal some damage.. Yeah i maybe have more HP, maybe i have more defense, it is useless since sorc will kill you anyways, becase you can;t even get to him. You just make the fight few seconds longer for him and more depressing for you. I get the fact that HA is not for attack, but it should even the chances. Now LA is even more mobile then before. I really don;t want to repeat everything i just hope someone understands what i write here. I don't count myself as pro player, i am not running super-duper shiny sets, altough i have good stuff on me. Anyways, if you haven't cringed to death while reading this feel free to hate me now. Did you have specific suggestions for DK buffs you were looking for or just complaints that sorc didn't get nerfed enough for your tastes?

Because sorcs took a big nerf to shields this update, so you might do better asking for:
1. Specific pain points / buffs for Stam DK
2. Specific advice for how stamDKs can counter MagSorcs in PVP
3. Specific advice for completing VMA as a StamDK

My own StamDK is level 35, so I can't offer much in the way of class specific help, but I'm sure other StamDKs on the forum can.

After this patch DK become even more overwhelmingly best tank, go tanking, this game needs more tanks - this is obvious message from devs while they nerf "mobile" survivability.

This is a L2P issue concerning VMA while not the best class to beat VMA with it can't be that much harder than it was on my stam sorc
Stam DKs are absolute beast in PVP so another L2P issue
Not sure if you read the patch notes or played a Sorc but they got nerfed hard and NB took a hit to a few abilities to if you have a hard time killing a sorc in 2018 your got problems lol.

I'm starting to think this is a necro thread or a troll thread but with the way this post is typed this doesn't look like a troll thread.

In what world did you read any of the patch notes and somehow get it in your head sorcs got buffed?

All Light Armor users just got their shields capped to about 8k, if they’re lucky. Sorcs lost an entire skill bar. The only buff they got was to pet builds, and that’s it. Overload light attacking got nerfed as cost for being weaveable. Frags can’t proc outside combat anymore so there won’t be anymore leading with it in PvP. Their main defense in Rune Cage/Defensive Rune got gutted beyond belief, Dark Deal got nerfed plain and simple.

Pets being immortal only helps one sorc spec, and it’s not even one most people enjoy.

Heavy armor is king in PvP, and gapclosers make the range argument rather pointless. You’re also a DK, use wings. They reflect light attacks, Frags, and Destructive Reach/Clench. Catch a Sorc with CC and they’re donezo now.

LA is not significantly more mobile than before and sorcs in particular have not been buffed in strength in PvP. They’ve been nerfed.

If you’re struggling with both PvE and PvP, then it’s probably time to change up your build.

Are you trolling or clueless? Sorcs took a huge nerf today. Sounds like you have a serious L2P issue. DKs have arguably the best defense in the game, which is one reason they make the best tanks. Their offense is plenty for all content. DKs make some of the best duelers and 1vXers. As to VMA on a stam DK, well again, L2P. I wont say it's the easiest clear out there, but it's perfectly doable.

Well I don't know about PvP beasts but they are not what they used to be. Alot of people have moved on to greener pastures like stamden. sDK is really reliant on weapon skills and armor sets. It really only boils down to that. If the sets are OP dk can be but their class skills only bring utility and sustain is a mini game with no real reward. vMA on either dk is pretty garbage after the psijic line it dropped further because magplar became ranged and stam sorcs got a good spammable(dks did to but meh).
probably one of the harder classes in vma has the lowest scores on my platform. Honestly just clear and you hit the board but even at the top has the lowest scores. Its possible though... VO carries hard...

My experience as being a main sDK since console launch and has stormproof or flawless on every class spec.

DK of the mag variety got some nerfs, but also got some buffs in root strength. Of the steam variety it's mainly buffs honestly. Small ones, but buffs none the less. Both DKs did get hit by evasion though.

The fact you are still mentioning vMA in this day and age shows your inexperience

If you can't do vMA on any class it's not a class problem but rather operator error.

There are many guides to beating vMA; some without class skills, some without armor, some with a bucket and broom.

I'm sure there's plenty of information in them to help you get it done

Tbh I can speak the way I want to and it's not really exactly unpopular if you are speaking to bowbow builds. They took a buff for a skill that does barely 1k damage and reduced two poison skill one is always cheaper to 1k Stam mild buff + mild nerf = ignored

Glad I'm not the only one. I'm a fairly good player but I always end up feeling like a dinosaur in pvp. I'm not even sure if I could beat my grandfather in cyro if he ran a dps, and he's been gone for 10 years.

What exactly was nerfed on sDK this patch?
Your melee attacks got increased range and poison abilities across the board got a cost decrease for you guys. Where exactly is the nerf here?

Meanwhile, Magic builds got their shields nerfed on several fronts (can now be crit, only 50% max health cap, etc), healing ward lost the up front heal on it, several skills got cost increases (DK whip, Grim Focus, Elemental Weapons).

What more do you want? I've heard of people seeing the glass as half empty, but you make that glass look as though it's also riddled with cracks.

Pet builds didnt even get a buff. They massively nerfed the innate resistance of pets in solo content, so they die almost instantly there. They also nerfed the crit from cp, which hurt pet sorcs because they cant really slot dark magic abilities due to lack of bar space. They only buffed sustain of pet builds, which is ludicrous since pet builds had 0 sustain issues.
