Just tried to log on and my game is trying to do a 50+ GB update....any of you guys experiencing this??

    The size of download itself is two gigabytes with a change, apparently. The progress bar that comes next shows the volume of the files patched, so it happens locally, after downloading has been dealt with.

    Hmm OK. My launcher literally said "Downloading files" or "Downloading patch" with a 40 MB/sec meter next to it that was 55,xxx mb, and then afterwards went through a "applying patch" phase that was like 9 GB.

    Well it's already known it's Murkmire, because patch notes have landed in corresponding forum section. ^^ And someone already done speedrun of Blackrose Prison...

    That's odd. My numbers are generally opposite. The download is relatively small, and then the "applying" starts around 60 gig. (14k remaining, 24.5 MB/s. 91% overall... /snore)

    Unless you can download 40 MB/sec, it is then unpacking, inserting and repacking game files and not downloading at all. The launcher always does it that way.

    My patches always go in stages - this time it was about 2.5 gigs downloaded at 350kb/s, which usually takes me a couple hours, and then it switches to applying the patch or something, which is local, so it's more like 40mb/s for about twenty minutes or something through a total of 55 gigs, and then it went back to downloading about a gig at 350 kb/s, and I'm expecting another application phase. That's just how it goes. The percentage bar typically means nothing, since it'll crawl during some phases and then leap ahead during others. *shrug*

    It also may be more changes to legacy content thrown in as well as Murkmire...

    One thing a few of us in my guild has noticed is that some of the dialog and appearances of NPC''s has changed in Summerset for whatever reason, so that could make the patch larger as well I play every day and my patch was just over 55GB

    Same here - got the error then a huge download, as if it decided to reinstall the whole game.
