What is Dremora Plunder Skulls?

I started a new character. I her a dolem go off so I thought I would go there and get some kills and discover it. When it was over, I checked my loot and I saw I got 2 Dremora Plunder Skulls. What are they? I don't know if I should just take them like a Gunny Sack or do I need to save them for something?

Also so I don't make a new thread, how do I get those Inderak (spelling?) feathers? I just don't get it. Can someone explain it to this old fart who doesn't know how these MMO games really work.

The basics:
Dremora Plunder Skulls are containers that drop,from different types of bosses, once per day (probably once per 20 hours). They contain goodies inside, particularly dremora motif pages depending on the type of boss they dropped from.

Event tickets drop once per day with the first dremora skull you get. You need 10 to buy a feather from the Impresario, a merchant outside the starter cities.

They're in your currency, and drop off the boss itself, not inside the skull.

From what I have read, the tickets are awarded for the first dremora plunder skull you loot per day.

I waited until I was ready to log out to loot my plunder skulls . So my next ticket won't be available for an hour and a half after I can get another delve boss dremora plunder skull.

They have clarified this a little on the Twitter feed.

I tried playing on the PC and I don't know what I am doing. As I said before, I lucked out. So how do I get these skulls? Maybe I don't know what a world boss is.

When I was on Xbox and started in Auridon, I was doing the quest to find the missing sailors. Then the leader guy there I killed since he was about to kill me when I tried rescuing the last sailor. Then I did the dolem. So how did I get the Dremora Plunder Skull?

When on PC I went to what I thought a world boss was. Forget the name but just north of Vulkhen Guard where all the skelletons are. I get one shotted. But others helped and killed them. I got nothing?

So I am puzzled. Are you not allowed to die? Am I in the wrong places? I don't get it. I read the link and still makes no sense to me. I don't know what to do because I lucked out on the Xbox Box and can't do it now on PC.

You got the skull from the dolmen boss on Xbox, because (probably) you did enough damage to be one of those who got the skull.

Are you using the same account somehow for both PC and console? I ask because I don't use consoles, so I have no idea if you can do that. If you can, then if you did another dolmen, it would be no skull, 'cause you only get one skull per "type" of content (there's 7 total, and I honestly don't know them all - because it includes group content I don't do). But if you did a World Boss on PC, but you died, perhaps that meant no skull from that boss.

There are definitely nuances I don't know - I got a skull today from each of a delve boss, a dolmen boss, and a world boss (thanks to those who were there with me, you know who you are - because without you I'd have NOTHING!), but only the delve boss gave me a ticket as it was the first skull I got.

And quite likely, someone who really does know how all this works will be along to tell you the real skinny - and show just how much I DO NOT know!

Thank you very much. So it's not a guaranteed reward then. I didn't know about doing enough damage. That does help. Not knowing is frustrating.

Well, the times I haven't done enough damage and there have been twenty+ players there too, the only stuff I get is from whatever I DID kill or do enough damage on - and since sometimes I'm clear around opposite to where the boss is going to spawn, there are many times I don't get enough damage on it. *shrug* It's a crap-shoot for me, with my lag.

Well, it's not a set amount of damage. It's "the top 12 damage dealers get loot". Which isn't a problem most of the time. But during events, when there's dozens of people swarming each target, it's an issue.

Oh thank you thank you thank you. @Sylvermynx and @Kiralyn2000. Thank you. I understand and the fun is back now that I understand. Even if I don't get anything, at least now I know why.

Still haven't gotten a ticket yet, but I guess I just need to keep trying.

@Davor - did you check your currency? If you still don't have tickets, it's likely that you didn't do enough boss damage so that's something to try to better position yourself for in the future - the tickets are loot from the boss itself, not in the skulls, and while auto-loot seems to work fine for some, with events like this it might be a better idea to give it a pass.

Yes I have checked my currency @Sylvermynx on the PC as soon as you said it. Daughter is playing on the Xbox so I can't check there yet without kicking her off. She keeps saying "you can play on your computer" lol. Told her I like to play on both. But she is having a great time so can't kick her off yet lol.

At least I am not frustrated now. I am not good at this game, going to be hard to get more boss damage since everyone else seems to be killing them so much faster than me lol. Oh well. It's the fun that matters and if I don't get it, it's ok. You brought the fun back for me. Last few hours were upsetting and now it's gone.

No, each platform is effectively separate. You can switch from PCNA to PCEU and double up. Though, of course, whatever you find on one can't be shipped back to the other.
