Please increase mammoth spawn rate in the Rift

The mammoth spawn rate in the Rift for the new daily is far too slow given how many are doing the daily. During peak time you can spend 15 minutes trying to get your mammoths if others aren't willing to kill them slow so more than one person can get in a hit and get their steaks.

Please double the spawn rate for the mammoths in the rift so we can do, yes, 150 of these to get the achievement.

There are mammoth in the Rift?
I was under the impression that they were extinct or too small to call Mammoths (1 bit of meat on that?)

+1 to this idea & gloom morel that are not a PvP target

Look around inside the marked area for quest and you will see steak on the ground some places. I believe ZoS added that so player don't need to kill Mammoth to get on with Dailies.

Faster respawn rate might lead to bots farming those Mammoth insteade, so I am not sure if that would solve anything, at least not when there is a very high density of Mammouth in a short distance. Maybe allow more spread of those quest cirlces where one can find Mammouth or replace those circles which will count towards quest, so any kind of Mammouth count. Eastmarch and Rift have both plenty of places where Mammouth are roaming and there is also Mammouth in Wrothgar.

I have done this quest several times now. For the most part people have been slow killing the mammoths making the quest tolerable. So a big thank you to all the slow killers.

Go outside the bubbles, you get the steaks from any rift mammoth.

I do feel like they've increased the number of steaks you get from just one though, so that's something at least. But I agree - THANK YOU to the slow-killers out there!

I haven't found it that bad at the Giant Camp outside of Riften. In addition to the mammoth steaks lying around tents I get 2-3 steaks from the boss fight and from the mammoths themselves.

I am glad to see the drop rate increased. And when I do spot a mammoth and start attacking I do light attacks because others always show up....share the meat !

There are steaks lying around, besides the respawn isn't that slow. The most time I've waited so far was a couple of minutes only. If I see another player, I stop attacking to insure he also gets the mammoth.

if thats true then its kinda nice...however they should just simply lower the ammount needed to 5, other of these dailies also just require a max of 5 pcs...most even less.

so having 10 for the steaks is statistcly way out of line, when the average / quest is arround 3-4.

@ZOS_GinaBruno please bring the Steakquest in line with the other quests and this whole problem is gone

I didn't get any steaks from mammoths outside the designated areas, and didn't get any from the mammoths in the westerly designated area either. I only get steaks from mammoths in the easterly designated site. Both sites have the very occasional steak on the ground....if nobody's spotted it yet. Seems the spawn rate for steaks on the ground is pretty low too and could be upped without hurting anything as well.

or limit the population per "instance of the map" to 1
as this seems to be the maximum number that the mob spawns are set for

I'm not sure what you're doing then. My main route is well outside the designated areas, a path that has 4 mammoth spawns on it. If I get lucky, I can get the daily done in one pass; if I get unlucky and most of them drop only one steak, then I need to either do it again or find spawns elsewhere. I've done this for 6 days so far; those mammoths have dropped steaks every single day. I'm almost done getting parts for the pet though, and I won't be rerunning these after that.

I must be playing during "off hours" as I can easily get the steaks in a couple of minutes. Gloom morels, on the other hand...

This is odd, i get 'steaks' from any mammoth i kill in the zone. i have not yet tested mammoth outside of the zone yet

Yeah, just got to the rift for today's Salty Meats.....there are seven guys standing around waiting for mammoths to spawn, and a few others riding around hopping to get some too.

Calm down and have some patience. Takes me 10 min at most to get the meat. That's not so bad is it?
It's part of the game and it's the same for everyone. No need to change anything.

Ya, because I'm in this game to stand around for 10 minutes and so is everyone else. Yes, this is bad.

Calm down yourself. They have us doing 150 of these for the achievement, so there should be more mammoths or more meat/mammoth.

Haven't had any problems with it. Done it twice, both during prime times.

I've done it every day since we could do it, and most days, I run into a jam. So my statistical sample is as high as it possibly can be at this point.
