Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Really...why does it take 6 months to fully leveling riding?

Here's the general crown store business model:
    • Durables
    • Consumables
The mount (durable) and training (consumable) pair well together from a commercial perspective. The design is deliberate and intentional - and it isn't going to change. If you want change, then you need to change.

It's that simple. Stop wasting energy on it.

Relax Sally, We're just talking here. Conversations are a good thing and good things can come of it.

Conversations, yes. Rants, no. I'm totally relaxed about it, too.

I wish they'd implement a mechanic where there was no daily limit to training - but costs double each lesson taken.

    I.e.
    250, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, 160000, 320000

AS you can see it's a bit more flexible, but also still maintains that progression gate and still incentivizes purchased riding lessons.

There is some degree of just trying to limit players here though - it's not purely about crown sales, imo. ZOS doesn't want some new guy buying the game for the first time to have a maxed out horse day 1 because his guildie or friend gave him 40k to do so. This also applies to alts - it's easy for any well developed player to have huge quantities of gold and pass them around their own characters.

ZOS simply didn't want our characters to be gods of skills out the box, there's supposed to be some degree of development.

Having these ramping up costs is a good way to increase the amount of lessons one can do a day, without making it to easy that they will be able to buy them all in a day.
