Why did i not know you can't reset Maelstrom?

I decided to farm normal for a set of Winterborn and after the first run through i start going crazy trying to get the thing to reset cause all i got out of all 9 rounds was a shoulder piece. Does this thing seriously have a cooldown?

There is a 5 or 10 minute cool down after you complete it ... you have to wait that long before you can do it again.

I usually zone out of the area and go back after 5 or 10 minutes.
