My credit card was expired around 4-5 days ago, and earlier today I was going to redeem my game key (which should have 30 days free) from GMG, it asks me to set up subscription first. I have paypal, but I couldn't use this because the credit card attached already expired and I couldn't setup subscription with pp.

Can you use Game Card like this

To activate my game copy?

Definitely should be able to, I believe there is an option somewhere in there to set up prepaid game cards. But I'd have to check again to make sure.

It's also possible that they currently require credit card info from everyone at the start. (not sure)

I'd like to know aswell. I haven't entered anything yet, still sitting with Early Access. I bought a couple of Game Time Cards because it works out better for me than using a credit card. I'd love to know if we just register the game, register the explorer's pack and then pop the game time card on and poof you have 30 days free from purchasing - THEN it'll use the game card after the 30 days.

Yes, when you go and choose your subscription there is a GameTime option.

Requires the base game The Elder Scrolls Online in order to activate.

I'm confused now.... My grace period is ending within 60 mins

Basically what you have to do is:
    1. Put in your game code (the code which gives you the game, not the sub)
    2. It asks you to put in your preferred subscription, put in your time code
    3. Put in any other codes (imperial/explorer)
