Master Crafting Writs - seriously WTF

Having spent hours, days, weeks running into years progressing my crafters and learning every trait I thought I was covered. But the writs being offered are a joke and waste of my time and effort.

Reward 6 vouchers, I need Set Spectre Eye (8traits) Style Trinimac

Trinimac, OiC Ive now to go and do daily quest in the hope that Ill pull the Motif, you know what, gfys!!!

ESO you're taking the ***, right?

Oh and I have others that require some hard to acquire Style, Motifs that are near impossible to find!!!

Maybe they are called master writs because they require knowledge of traits and motifs? Nah, no way!

Trinimac is not even one of the expensive styles. It's not like you got Welkynar or Fang Lair. And you can always sell the writ you do not like and buy a better one.

Heh, Trinimac is actually one of more accessible 'rare' motif drops. If you get a Welkynar or Buoyant Armiger one you can complain

During all that time you spent progressing your crafters, you never found, received, or searched out and bought motifs?

When I decided to make a crafter, I made it a point to get all the normal/blue motifs. In the course of playing I found the normal purples and Imperial. While progressing my two main crafters, and all the other alts I have, I managed to acquire Trinimac, Ancient Orc, Malacath, Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, Ebonheart Pact, Glass, Abah's, Celestial, Silken Ring, Minotaur, and Akaviri, among others. There are only a few I don't have on my main crafter. I don't want to think about how much gold I spent on getting them, but because I wanted to be able to do as many styles as possible, I either bought or farmed for them. Even with all that, I donated a master writ worth 76 vouchers to my guild because it was a style I didn't know, and wasn't in a hurry to track down to buy.

Thats why its called MASTER CRAFTER writs...I agree that the rng can be bad when it comes to the amount of vouchers but complaining that you need a rather old motif for a master writ is not justified. start learning as much as you can, the prices for motifs are at an all time low, go shopping

It must be different on your platform. Few people run the Wrothgar dailies, so you won't find many of the motifs on the market at all except during the anniversary event.

It's almost as though crafting MASTER writs requires you to be a MASTER crafter, and have MASTERed lots of motifs.

Just sell ones you can't do. It's rarely worth buying motifs specifically to complete single writs, unless you are trying to complete motifs anyway.

Sell your unwanted Master Writs. People like me buy them. Assuming that you know how to price them.

But seriously, these are designed to be a quest. To make you work to find all the elements, including the motifs.
