Yes! Please do this ZOS! That way when Argonian and Khajiit players cut their tails off I can use them to be able to play skip rope with my friends!

Well at least they can hide it with helmets. And i have no idea how do they fit their noses inyo that imperial helmet or even order of the hour helmet. But well.. maybe in the same way they can fit their tail in their pants.

    Wanting to hide the tail?

    Blasphemy.

This one will not accept such a distasteful idea. The tail is sacred and keeps the nose warm in cold weather.

It's always bothered me that Argonian and Khajiit leg armour and clothing just has a tight fitting hole around the tail base. Do they have to thread the tail through the hole? Must be quite awkward, and moreso for Argonians, since theirs are larger.
... in other words, if I had been on the design team I would have suggested something like a discreetly buttoned tail slit.

I actually always aim at the tail of argonian and khajiit in pvp and my testing shows, presumably due to the lack of of resistances inherent to the tail, a 1.7k dps increase.

A Khajiit's tail is immensely important to their self image, Khajiit who have lost part or all of their tail see it as shameful and deformed in the public eye. They're very insecure about it.

No creature with a tail would remove it on purpose without medical necessity; not only would that alter balance and muscular movements for the entire body, but the amputee would suffer phantom pains as they would from the removal of any limb. It'd be the same as chopping off your own leg on purpose.

The problem with polymorphs is that you cant show off your awesome looking armor. And if you dont wear polymorphs as an argonian then your huge wobbling tail ruins all the awesomeness of that said armor. /Sigh

      Thanks Naryu-esqu avatar picture.

Horrible, why would an Argonian want to go through such a procedure?

I move to make all so-called "dawktors" that would perform such a heinous act removed from the national doctor registry.

This one thinks anyone with a tail would have to turn completely mad to even think about cutting it off. Actually, madder than Sheggorath the Skooma Cat, because not even he has cut his tail, yes?

I play an Argonian for the powerful passive synergy that if offers to my PVP Magblade build, synergy that no other race can offer.

I don't doubt that, you're quite right. But I think it'd be good for roleplay purposes - your character is an adventurer who had to sacrifice their tail (which of all limbs had to get stuck under a fallen stone pillar), and the only way out was to remove it. I base this idea on the true story which had a film based on it, 127 Hours, only instead of a tail an arm was lost. So your part about "medical necessity" is what I'm aiming for, or some kind of origin involving 'teaching the character a lesson' ("we don't like tailed folk 'round these parts, stranger") or the character has gone crazy thinking their tail is a tactical hindrance. I'm just pulling these ideas from my tail end as some kind of lore justification for this cosmetic change.
