changing up on the fly...

The dungeon queue is like a box of chocolates... you never know what your going to get! As a tank with a tank of very class, I have learn to shift my approach depending on where and who I end up with when I hit that random dungeon button. My dragonknight for example has a chudan/fortified brass/vampires cloak set for weaker groups and a Illambris/thunderbug/livewire set for stronger groups I want to put out more dps with. My warden runs chudan/redistribution/amalexia set and a velidreth/affliction/mechanical acuity. I run my sorc similar to my DK and I run my Nightblade kinda like my Warden but the point here is how a ridiculous pain it is in the middle of a group in the middle of the action to get people to stop and wait for 1 minute while I change 14 pieces of equipment.

I think it would be super cool if we could bind an entire loadout into say a gem of something so we could switch up entirely on the fly. Just like the quest based costumes have the appearance slot, you could call it a Mundus "gem" and even assign a Mundus Stone to it... maybe its the Mundus Stones that bind and form the gem? What do you guys think? ...any opinions?

if you are on PC there is an addon called dressing room that does exactly that. You can bind changing gear and skills on hotbars with just a single keybind. It would be hard for me to accept playing the game without this addon.

If you are on console you are out of luck because zos dont't think you need that.

On my MagDK tank, I just change up my rotation. Good groups get the tank crowd control and buffs. Groups that are lacking in DPS on the boss get the fire staff backbar so I can actually do more damage.

Unless its one of the few fights where the tank just goes full DD, thats usually sufficient.

As a tank I need both bars for my shield but... I have 4 daggers and I have two two-handed axes... I switch bars constantly but in 1 set of gear.

    on another note...

Class Skill Lines – also mentioned above, class skill lines are obtained automatically simply by picking a class. You can take a look at full skill lines for each of the class in our guides: Nightblade, Templar, Dragonknight, Sorcerer. Every class has 3 skill lines which further define their play style.

Weapon Skill Lines – any character can learn skills in the weapon skill line, but both active and passive abilities here are only in effect if you use a particular weapon (i.e. Bow, Sword, Destruction Staff, …)

Guild Skill Lines – not to be confused with player guilds. Fighters, Mages and Undaunted are NPC guilds any character can join in the game, and they all give you access to particular set of very useful skills for both PvE and PvP. Guild skill lines »

World Skill Lines – these are obtained in various places in Tamriel by completing certain quests. Your character starts with one World skill tree (Soul Magic), but additional ones like Vampirism and Lycanthropy (Werewolves) can be obtained further down the line.

Alliance War Skill Lines – by earning Alliance points in Cyrodiil (PvP zone) you can get access to abilities from the Alliance War skill tree. In the same category are Emperor skills which are extremely difficult to obtain.

...with the addition of the Psijic line, there is a lot to choose from. ...at 780 points and all of these aspects of the game conquered is it too much to give the players a few more options than 2 weapons and 10 abilities?

I use AlphaGear. Sounds like maybe Dressing Room might be a good alternative. AlphaGear would be fine if it allowed 32 action bar presets rather than 16. Since it offers 16 build slots. Most people would need double that for the action bars.

I’d love any feedback from those that have used both.

And how good is it? I currently use Lord Warden\Brands of Imperium\Bahraha's Curse, its good for saving party of PUGs as I can simple say them to stay in blue circle if you want live longer, especially if party will use Bone Surge synergy with Igneous Shield and Resolving Vigor on top its work pretty well and in Oh *** situations its possible to drop Replenishing Barrier or Magma Shell.

But sometimes even with third DD in disguise of fake healer lack of group damage make me feel sorrow, should I try Illambris/thunderbug/livewire in such situations?

Thunderbug and livewire inflict electrical damage as a reaction to receiving damage and then illambris goes off as a reaction to that electrical dmg... so just tanking business as usually... just by taunting basically your putting out a ton of aoe dmg then put this unholy trinity on a dragonknight or a sorcerer BOOM its just ultra mega aoe dmg out put with zero to no effort whatso ever yeah

lightning form on the sorcerer or say igneous weapons on the dragonknight are two tankier abilities increasing illamris going off furthermore and that not even including straight dmg skills like breath fire... or that lightning bolt spell etc

put fire or shock on your weapon and the taunt might set it off too ...before clockwork was released I had thunderbug/way of fire but I found livewire to be a upgrade to the way of fire set
