Should forum members that make nerf thread after nerf thread get a temp ban for baiting?

There are certain members on the forum that seem to just post nerf threads one after the next, with nothing constructive ever asked on proper counters or any advice to get any better at the game. They instead just seemingly, out of a petty joy, make these threads to troll and bait people, bringing nothing constructive to the forums at all.

So do you think people that post constant nerf threads should be given a temp ban for baiting because that is what most of these are of late

No. Quit being so defensive. They're not baiting you. It's nothing personal towards you. They're just frustrated.

Zos are big boys and girls. They'll decide how they want to handle nerf threads.

No. But people who post thread polls with only choices that are biased toward a particular answer should be temp banned for baiting.

If you think a thread is baiting, report it to the forum mods and move on.

If they agree with you, they'll lock it when the thread derails.

If someone asks for a nerf, it is clear that they themselves are stuffing up somewhere with their current setup or they simply cannot learn from their own mistakes in order to better themselves.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

Then they should be making posts for buffs or for Zos to change their decision. Not spamming nerf threads out of spite because their class got nerfed.

If the discussion isn't about you, and you take it as baiting then that's an issue with you, and not the poster. And no, talking about your class or your respective abilities/equipment doesn't count.

I don't see how it's a misuse of the forums. They're discussing the game. You might not like what they're saying about the game, but that doesn't make it a misuse of the forums.

I wish I could take back that I participated in the poll. Based on what someone else has posted I get a different and possibly clearer view of what is happening in the OP above.

Below is a link to what I read and how I responded.

so critiquing balance decisions is grounds for a ban in your opinion? its a person's right to be unhappy with the balance direction the team is going with but as long as they do not go overboard with it it should be fine

No people crying in multiple threads over and over and over again against a single class they who refuse to listen to how to counter something in that classes toolkit such as Shields for sorcs or Cloak for Nightblades that is what she’s talking about

Yeah, I refuse to take part in such a blatantly biased poll.

If you don't like a post, there is literally nothing stopping you from clicking away or, idk, ignoring it. If the moderators feel like it doesn't add anything or isn't going anywhere they close it. If you don't like it, go to another part of the forums or even reddit. The ESO subreddit doesn't discuss nerfs as much, and is more about sharing and enjoying content.

The OP has been critical of multiple balance discussions that were clearly not posted to troll or bait today. Her poll has two biased options; it is obviously baiting, a troll and has no constructive value.

If you don't want to read balance threads, no one is forcing you. Obviously the OP and the people who agree with her feel threatened by opinions different than their own.

While not seen their posts I do see your point on this thread and You are correct that the poll is created with a strong bias.

I may have been to hasty in responding to the poll. There is nothing wrong with suggesting a change in the game. We all have differing opinions on the individual subjects and we should be mature enough to take such differing opinions.

With that, outside of the one or two players who have been creating some troll threads, no one should be punished merely for posting their honest thoughts in an appropriate forum. I do not think Zos will become the thought police which may be what OP is asking for.

Edit. Upon reading the OP yet again, it does seen they are merely complaining about people suggesting change vs the troll threads I have seen during this PTS cycle.

We can disagree all we want in an appropriate manner, but suggesting players should be banned because you do not agree with them is not appropriate. It would have a chilling effect which is not healthy.

I was under the impression many of the nerf threads were written tongue-in-cheek to highlight the absurdity of the nerfs, not from spite. Most of us were asking ZOS to reverse their decision.

the skilled people will let us play for now but, takes time for them to agree on 1 specific skill that is killing them too much.
when that happens, they make mass threads.

If we got permabanned for complaint threads, I'm pretty sure the forum population would be a lot smaller.
