I’m going to have a small nightstand in the middle of the main room. I’d like to add a single item on the nightstand, just can’t think of what.
Just seen it for the first time. Its bloody huge!
Best start saving furniture lol
I'm still excited for the house - can't wait to start decorating it. But, that doesn't mean I can't be disappointed that it didn't come with the items in the preview we all saw.
It's great that some people prefer a blank slate, but others, like me, appreciate the few plants/trees and lights that come with the unfurnished version of a home. I can still remove everything if I want, and have those for other homes or to place elsewhere in the existing home. They're nice bonuses, for me, really - free furniture, if you will.
So, yeah, I'm going to have to buy some plants/trees from the in-game vendors, but that's not really a big deal. Though I would have liked to replicate the unfurnished version, I have no idea which plants/trees were there nor where they were placed.
It's minor, really, that we're getting a completely bare version, as there are in-game options to get plants/trees - you don't have to buy them from the CS. But it doesn't mean that I wouldn't have liked to have had those "unfurnished version" items.
I think that most people are really bothered by not having the pergolas or the fireplace/logs, but I'm such a terrible landscaper that not having trees/plants/etc. is more what I'm missing.
Also, I too, read in another thread that it's an issue with gifting homes. They can't gift a home with furnishings as they all have their own item ID. It's a limitation of the system, not a deliberate choice to bait and switch.

It's more that the preview they had seemed like the real "unfinished" version (I'm new, so I had no idea the trees and things were something I'd have to place. When I saw the preview, I actually thought those trees and things were stationary items that could not be moved or changed) and now part of our item count has to go to putting those trees and things back in...when they could have just been a part of the way the outside of the house looked? But now it's really bare. It just feels like our item count gets unnecessarily consumed by simply making a property actually look more...well...complete, when the former preview that included trees was a much nicer starting point.
The other thing that's troubling me is that I can on partially remember how the thing used to look, and I really don't know what half of the items that were outside are named so that I can go buy them
You mean like literally every other house in the game? Or did you think the trees that came with other houses didnt count as furnishing items.

It certainly doesnt seem right that the item made available for preview is not the item which was provided. They should have provided the same unfurnished version that was available for preview.

By the way only 1 fireplace in a place that big?
Do appreciate the free house though.
I gotta say folks, no one thought they put up those furnishing packages on the crown store for a reason? ROFL. You got something free, but it's kind of a bait and switch. They want your money. They want you to buy crown store furniture packages. I'm willing to bet a ton of you will do it too.
