Grathwood Senches, Bangkorai wolves and bears, Rivenspire skeechers, Alik'r Harpies, etc (this list could go on forever) have been botted for over 2 years in the same places. Hell lately I've seen some new bot paths popping up in Craglorn gathering the crafting nodes from one wayshrine to another before teleporting back to start it again.

ZoS isn't going to do anything about it.

Ah, yeah. I've heard it's pretty horrendous on the console(s).

There's an add-on called Bot Scanner 2000 which can help report the fast ones or the trains, if you're an add-on kind of person, but that doesn't really solve much. I do believe ZOS reads the reports but the whole situation is so much larger that they may choose not to ban right away anyway. I've done a lot of reading on the subject and botting can be pretty complicated from certain standpoints, and lucrative for those involved (the scammers). It's weird to me that people would pay money to not play the game, to just, like, start with lots of gold or gear or whatever. It's all digital content. It'll disappear once the servers go down. Playing the game is the whole point. Paying to cheat to get ahead in a race that nobody can win is an interesting financial decision.

Ran into the bots with the same out fit a sword they seem to act like a flock of birds..
Today we ran in to a new bot 328 he was using a hack that made him move so fast he would take the node you were striking then next one and the one after just poof..
I reported him took me 30 min's to try to catch him enough to get his whole name..

Zoe either make it so we are flooded with nods and the gold farmers can not make gold to sell. or give us the ability to open attack them.

I actually like the bots, there funny. There funny bizarre antics are more enjoyable then anything zos has done in a LONG time lol Certainly enjoy them more then nerfmire

Plus zos given the ability to by gold already with gifting, they only have a problem with bots cuz zos isnt getting the money..... Cant say i really care

A bot is someone who paid money to access the game. if they ban bots on an instant, it'll disrupt game sales, so they do ban bots, but over a long period to make sure they botters buy the game again, have some logic

u remove bots the market dies once more...not sure you all remember last year that period without bots when you couldn't find a single wax in all stores and they were worth over 15k each...ah good old days but yeah im all up for bot removal pls...I want people to stop wasting time complaining on forums and actually work on the market instead of botters.

recently I'v seen bot's sitting on metal nodes in bleakrock on Xbox NA, past couple of month's, you would think that they would want prevent new players from seeing 20 bots in a circle perfectly in sync (their running a macro through smartglass app), and a bot on every other node. I try to report them when i see them, if you want to see them just go near the deathclaw cave.

Its been said a million times but don't buy from them and it will go away. Maybe they should crack down on the buyers. You think that would be somewhat easy to do.

There are hints that they do, but it is not as visible. If they do, I am not sure what they do to them. My guess is nothing permanent.

I have to admit that the most I see on PC NA Betnikh is the lone farming bot running at normal speed. I rarely go there, since Bleakrock is like shooting fish in a barrel, and is a popular place for bot hunters to visit. I will swing by Betnikh today just to see is anything is happening on PC NA.

Funny thing tho Microsoft seem to be more proactive at banning bots than game devs. Can’t speak for eso as I’ve never come across bots before ( always been in pvp) but other games the gamer tags been gone within days. I love reporting bots websites to scam watch here, a few been shut down in the past lol.

They are everywhere just standing on nodes. I've seen them in almost every zone when I was doing the public dungeons.

At least zos is doing a great job with the bot problem that has been on going for over 3yrs now. Excellent work, Zos!

Old players remember a moment when most of community heard about Cheat Engine. After that many ppl started to use it, and as result ZOS did changes to game and Cheat Engine users started to get autoban

I'm looking forward and wait until ZOS will start to care about ViperBot, that bot which allow ppl to grind dolmens, gather resources etc. Looks like ZOS need to reach apocalypse threshold to do something with it

Exactly. We have no GMs these days. Many people don't even know that such persons even exist. There is no better way to get rid of this plague. Is it really to expensive to hire like 6-12 people (1-2 per platform) so they can get rid of bots? Definitely no, but when all ZOS cares about is income this is impossible.

Does anyone know if on Xbox bots have increased over the last year? As I said before I mainly pvp so I wouldn’t know.

If the answer is yes I feel MS may be contributing indirectly, I say this because when you create a new Xbox account you get a week or 2 of hold for free and with that you can get a 14 day trial to game pass which ESO Is a game pass game, so essentially they can not for free no game buying needed. Not saying this is MSs fault just an unfortunate consequence and by no means the only reason.

Just my opinion tho but think about it. :-)

What makes you think they don't already have these people? Who do you think takes action on all of the bots that get reported every day? Someone is doing it, because bots on PC go away. Sadly, they are usually replaced within hours by new bots. Anyway, just because we can't see them, does not mean there are not people there.

At least, on PC. I can't speak for PS4 and XBox because I am not there.

The implied running around in the game world identifying bots is definitely not the best way to deal with it. I know because this is what the players have to do, and what I do. I can't imagine having this task as a job. Ugh. It takes multiple characters, per megaserver, to even see all the bots. It is like...

You always say this in bot threads. Starting to think you run bots yourself...

Bots are not funny — they grief legitimate crafters and resource farmers who are actually playing the game.

I call BS on this one. There is enough crafters out there now with a decent supply of mats so that if bots disappeared from the scene entirely, it would barely make a dent in the market. As far as I’m concerned, bots do nothing good for the community, period.

For those on the PC there is an Addon called "Botscanner 2000". Does all the work for you including filling out the reports. At least if we report them it's on ZOS to investigate and remove them.

if only us console users could have that ... unsure about Xbox one players can have those add-ons or not.

was at betnikh recently on EU server on the PS4 and those poor wolves at Carved Hills is still getting killed by these ''bots''

EverQuest... GMs use to frequent zones to torment players and allow us to kill.. or try to them, as well as banish bots and macro users for *** and giggles.
In Wow, GMs would respond to you in-game, when you had issues with players, bots, whatevers...And they would do it with class!

ESO, you get an email, telling you "Have you tried turning it on and off again?"

Just before summerset came out I noticed a bunch of the bots sporting those nightmare senches you got for pre-ordering. Seen 'em with other crown store gear too. ZO$ doesn't ban 'em is because they boost their sales figures.
