ZOS can we please take a look at under-performing morphs of skills/sets that are very rarely used?

As the title suggests, instead of constant nerfs and ridiculous, non-sensical balancing changes I'd rather like to see something different, an entire different approach to old-new, something that gets buffed/changed/improved, skills in particular, to offer more interesting options for more interesting and possibly amazing builds. Something that will allow people a lot more freedom and creativity.

There are just sooo sooo many skills that look great in theory but suck horribly in actual combat. I'd like to see these completely reworked, and made viable. I can't tell you how many times I've looked at things and thought... I'd run that, it's different and cool! But then... Disappointment.

And this goes for everything in the game, regardless of class.

Same with under-performing, never used sets. There are just so very many of these. It's insane.

I've recently made a couple very good meta-breaking builds that actually get the job done and surprise a lot of unsuspecting enemies. Stuff like this is what makes ESO so much fun and so unique compared to other games and I'd like to see this feature worked on some more. Rather than giving into meta and stale, same, never-changing gameplay that kind of sucks the soul of the game after you've played it for a while.

And sure, we get new patches, DLCs, new sets but that's nothing compared to what you already have at hand, if only you tried a bit harder, ZOS.

Truth. I imagine the conversation goes something like the following.

Lead Developer - "today we need to start looking at improving some of these useless skills and morphs".

Pion developer - "too much work Boss! Let's just nerf everything!"

All devs including the Lead - Chanting in unison, "NERF NERF NERF NERF YEAAAHHHH"

They have been actively trying to address this issue for at least a year now. So far in almost every case, the changes have made no difference in what morph people have selected.

In the few cases where is has made a difference, the difference is that now both options had become so bad that the skill was abandoned entirely.

Agree with you, but sadly we have been asking about this for years and nothing happening so. Best of luck to you and the suggestion :) As long as we have people complaining about equality here, I don't think there is any possibility of something creative happening.

if you guys remove your nerf request threads and your "change this skill" threads from the skill lines, then the devs can do their work.
please stop making these type of threads, it is killing eso.

Wait.......so like take unused skills....rework them to improve their usefulness...and make for some interesting new synergies with other spells and abilities? Whoa.........

Nah, seems too hard. Just nerf the ones that are used most so they aren't as appealing any more. A lot easier.

I'm willing to bet that a lot more of those skills are being used than you think. Some things that suck in pvp can be pretty solid in pve and vice versa. They're probably just not being used in the content you're playing the most.

I agree. Zenimax should begin to improve what we already have – unused sets and skills, overland difficulty, the main quest, etc.

It's most important to focus on the base game, not new content.

Some. Not a lot. Not even most. And less so for update 20.
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

Erm you know that's what they're doing now ... By nerfing the most used and giving small changes to those that aren't used enough in the hope people will change

Maybe they could simplify and make all morphs the same, but one stamina and one magica based ... Similarly to how they're doing with templars ... Really suck the individuality out of the builds

Yeah and that's the wrong approach cause it's still nerfing, instead of buffing/revisiting.

    [snip]

And [snip]? Hell no... Individuality and customisation is WHY I PLAY ESO.

I'd be back to WoW if they homogenised this game or made it simple like that. I don't care for meta crap.

Like lekis focus. That might have had a cool spot in the game with the upcoming change to major evasion. But now will never be used (kind of like it is not currently used) because its just major evasion but with a heal debuf.. Lol who makes the choices...
