Something Strange... possible new exploit

I was in stealth at roe on the portion overlooking the lumber and I noticed the eye starting to open up. Anyways I knew an enemy nearby. I started to look for this individual. I went to the lower part down the little hall by the guards. I then popped out of stealth so I instantly buffed up my defenses and threw down aoes in prep for an incap out of stealth. A few seconds went by and nothing much to my surprise. I went back to stealth and the eye was still partially open. So the individual was still nearby. So, I decided to just chill there... after about 5 minutes something strange started happening. The wall started shaking and dust flying off of it like it was being sieged. Naturally, I went upstairs to see if it was under siege from the outside but nothing... was this person I couldn't find under the keep sieging it? I started throwing down aoes and the sieging sounds and wall animation stopped. What the heck?

I know recently going through keep doors can make you fall through the floor so I don't know if this person got there accidentally or not... but what I do know is they shouldn't be sieging the keep like that. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

There is a bug that’s been around forever where you can silently siege a keep wall, with no visual or audible cues that it’s happening, except when the wall reaches the damage levels where it starts to partially collapse. I think it has something to do with the sieger being extremely far away (like in the resource tower). Not sure if this is what you’re describing but it sounds similar.

That's interesting but it still doesn't explain the person inside the keep that i couldn't see or bring out of stealth and stayed in the exact same area. Maybe they were just the lookout but there was nothing I could do to bring them out of stealth but they were bringing me out of stealth.

The person inside the keep that you couldn't find was likely hiding inside one of the boxes that are there.

We lovingly refer to such as person as a d**k in a box.

The wall decay could potentially just be a siege engine out of animation range. There's a few spots where that's possible.

The de-stealth could just be someone with better stealth passives.

Or it could be something else! Who knows. What would be funny is if it were possible to get repaired into a wall and drop siege from inside it....

Actually that reminds me of something strange that happened before in Roe specifically. Rezzed at a forward camp that was set up inside the wall just outside the eastern postern and found myself under the world basically. If the camp is at a specific location this happens. In this case someone could be running around under the world, with their head poking out at various places, and bring people out of stealth/open their eye, etc.

Well I know for a fact on Xbox na vivec you can easily get trapped under the keep by going through the mine side door at arrius. You can run under the outer wall all around the perimeter. At the corners there are huge flat areas probably big enough for siege. I kind of want to test it out but for one thing that method would require me to get stuck and then another alliance to take the keep. That being said what if people found a way to do it without their alliance first owning the keep?

There's already been a bunch of shenanigans with a player stealing temple scrolls by exploiting on Xbox na. Like literally taking them when the gate is still up. So at this point you've really got to question anything you see out of the ordinary.
