I dislike pve a lot for the same reason in most mmos, and that's the lack of build diversity. In pvp there is many different setups you can use effectively, and make a build your own. In pve though it's just healer, dps and tank and they hardly have any veriety.0 -

✭Other(explain)To me, the game is a single player game full of some very well animated and helpful NPC's, many of whom I just decide are members of the fighters guild simply there to help me clean out the dolmen or clear the dungeon.
If I am in a group with friends talking to them over discord as we play (which very rarely happens) then it will become a co-op game.
This is also what I went to because Elder Scrolls 6 had not come out yet. I will likely leave ESO (at least for a while) after Elder Scrolls 6 comes out. I love my massively single player games.

many of the components are flashy and incomplete when compared to other established mmos of the same age or so. housing just gives you a taste of what others have. raiding is rather easy. the brokerage system is something only a real life shopaholic would implement. who wants to run all over to find and buy something?
there are way too many adjustments(nerfs) being made at this point for this or rather in any game. pvp is at fault for this.
I am here because I played daggerfall and morrowind. this game is totally different with only names being the same. I like the quests and exploring around but soon this will get boring. then I will leave or wait it out for the game in alpha that I currently want to play.2 -

The housing, fishing etc. are diversions I like, but they're not the reason to play. And although I mostly play solo, I do appreciate being able to join with others in co--operative PvE.0 -

✭Other(explain)Primarily I am either doing writs or out in Cyro. Sometimes I will try to work on a character, gathering skyshards etc, but I get bored of that pretty quick. If there is new PvE content, I'll do it once happily. Recently I started working on soloing group dungeons but I had to take a break from that since my back is all wonky and I am not at a point where I can be super serious about things again yet (I'm playing from my bed and it just isn't conducive to seriousness). And with every patch it just keeps going downhill.1 -

I agree when you say content is easier.Its a game which I used to love for both PvE and PvP aspects of it, used to play it daily, finished all the content there is in the game (besides long-stretched grindy achievements), but since ZOS keeps casualizing PvE content and zergifying PvP its just not enjoyable anymore, every new content gets cleared within hours of release, pvp is a pure zergfest its just not the same game i used to like about a year ago. And with every patch it just keeps going downhill.
I remember just what a total hell White-gold tower and Imperial city prison were when they came out. ICP, by the way, was nerfed many times.
Maw of Lorkhaj was tremedously difficult too. I miss those days.

In all seriousness though, I really appreciate how ESO maintains the largely single-player feel of the original TES titles in regards to questing and exploration, and still chucks a few multiplayer elements in on the side to cater to the PvPers. It's not balanced of course, but I still think it's nice to have those options available to you should you want to pursue them. I still prefer to keep my toons far away from Cyrodiil, however
