Can somebody tell me what stats the damage portion of this pet scales with? It says it deals physical damage, but I'm 90% sure it scales with max magicka. Since it's physical, does it scale with physical penetration & weapon crit? I'm also pretty sure it's not affected by weapon damage.
Add a Scribing skill that works like Arcanist beam.

Veteran players have been alienated and disengaged from Overland since One Tamriel, due to the lack of difficulty, and pushed into dungeons and trials; the minority of content in the Elder Scrolls Online. We can't take the repetition anymore, fix Overland engagement for Vet players. I don't even care if it's not combat related anymore, just make Overland engaging again.
---
Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 10 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. Make a self debuff mythic. Literally anything at this point.

Because it is not for damage. It is a tank skill. Use the other morph for damage.

Well I know that, but I play a Stamina build. so naturally I expect Automaton to boost ALL physical damage skills. Imagine my surprise when It does not affect the physical damage of the Clanfear.

Additionally, I'm glad the skill can be useful for tanks, I'm just curious why it doesn't help Stamina damage dealers since it deals physical damage and doesn't seem to scale with any Stamina build stats.

What you are asking is like why is igneous shields not useful to a stamdk or why artic blast not useful to stamdens. The clanfear is a health percentage based heal. Not a damage ablity.

All the Sorc (non ulti) pets scale with max magicka. But unsure how CP like Mighty and Master at Arms affects it as well.

and back in the day there were basically no stamina class morphs, and i guess its never been revisited.

I know the ability is a heal, I have no problems with that. The Clanfear auto attacks, and I'm asking what the scaling on that is. I should have been more clear, I apologize. My question is directed towards that, not the heal ability that the Clanfear possesses.

"The clanfear's attacks deal 238 Physical Damage plus an additional 15%."

As LeHarrt91 confirmed, that damage portion scales with max magicka. I'd like to know if it scales with physical penetration and weapon crit, and I'd like to know what CPs it is affected by as well.

More of a background, I'm asking because I saw in the patch notes that pets will take 0 damage in group instances. I think the Clanfear would be a more interesting to slot rather than the Bound Armaments & Resolving Vigor combo. I would still get the Daedric Summoning passives that boost Health & Stamina Recovery, and It would free up a slot.

I then noticed that the physical damage it does is not affected by Automaton's 5p bonus. This is why I became confused as to how the damage from the Clanfear's attacks scales.

    @RaptorRodeoGod Just tested on PTS.

Stats: Physical penetration and weapon critical. Max magicka. Max stamina, spell DMG and spell crit.

CP: Mighty, piercing, precise strikes, master at arms. Elemental expert, Spell erosion, elfborn, thaumaturge.

Basically a stamina ability doing physical dmg with a magicka cost only scaling off max magicka.

the damage it does is incidental to the skill, it is not worth mentioning, like the damage from artic blast right now, for that skill does damage but warden tanks use to proc chilled, not to actual damage. the clannfear is a tank skill, so it really does not matter what the damage scales with.

you would also be better of slotting crit surge and the new dark exchange. i have never ran vigor on my sorc. i would also never take BA off my front bar. 11% more light attack damage and 8% more stam is too good to pass up.

I currently have Crit Surge slotted, and it does me fairly well most of the time, but I cannot rely on it in those rare "Oh ****!" moments, which is why I use Vigor. I will definitely try out Dark Deal after the update goes live as well (Xbox player, can't do PTS); I hope it performs well enough for me to warrant its use.

Bound Armor on the other hand is the most boring possible skill to slot, which is why I want to test the Clanfear. Yes the passives that are tied to Bound Armaments are very very good, but I know I'm not going to be pulling the best DPS anyways, so I would like to try using something more fun in that slot. I just want to see how using the Clanfear, rather than Bound Armaments, compares to my personal DPS scores. I fully expect my numbers to be lower, but you never know.

i run a two hander on my sorc. brawler+surge is more then enough to keep you up. you do you, fun is the name of the game but my sorc is already trying to figure out how to best use the dark deal. i dropped caltrops and my dps was actually the same, for some reason.

Interesting, I dropped rearming trap and was only 1k less than normal, and had a way better time sustaining. Maybe I'll swap it back in over caltrops.
