If I respec do I lose my progress I aquired in a spec?

I am a nightblade and I'm siphoning spec but I want to try assassination, will I lose all the progress I had in siphoning spec? Probably a stupid question but I just wanted to make sure before I do it.

    No, you do not lose levels. Merely the points assigned. So you won't lose the XP in say 1H and Shield, merely the points you assigned to it.
