I know, ZOS wants us to grind for gold platings, but some dungeon sets are actually very widely used, and having a chance of gold jewelry from, say, Burning Spellweave would be nice, plus it's a small trickle of gold platings into the game, too.
Now though, that would make the Golden obsolete, not sure if they'll go exactly this route. And main function of leaderboards (that being, well, leaderboards) don't seem awfully useful, since most of them aren't awfully difficult. Besides, it would make people rush even more in dungeons, not a nice effect.

I'm also not sure mechanics cheesing and 4 DPS runs would benefit the contents' current state and roles required, but rather serve to make it worse.
A speed run for a quick RDF daily is one thing, this would be something else entirely.
With Jewellry and weapon drops... no body gear.
Maybe 3 weeklies to cover the 3 undaunted geezers.

No. First they would have to create a scoring system for each one, with appropriate weighting. Then they would have to develop the UI and associated data for said leaderboards. Then they would need to create and continually evaluate the rewards system.
There are 100 things off the top of my head that should get development priority over such a thing.

Kinda why I really like playing on console since there are no add ons for damage parsing. If we complete the content, that is all that matters to me. I don't feel like listening to a handful of people bickering about how they are doing 10k more damage than someone else, and that they need to step their game up.

all this does is encourage more DPS meta , all the leader boards ever have done since they were introduced was encourage more dps and less team based dynamics so much so you have 12 people all worried about indvidual performance instead of team experience it really encouraged some bad apples to be even more elitist. at the end of the day competitive PVE has made the game worse not better. had they done more with it based on other roles it would have been tolerable.so many game systems in ESO were half finished ideas it really makes me wonder if this game has any idea what it wants to be.

You dont have to compete, it has zero effect on you... you can still pug or forn groups 4 dungeons as you normally do.

Less people would mean more time to complete and more time would mean a lower score. Assuming they would use the same formula that they use for all PvE leaderboard content, of course.
