    No.

For one, dungeons are too easy compared to the arenas and trials.

And frankly, I dont think adding a competitive leaderboard environment would be beneficial for dungeons.

    Yes.

Desired weapons from dungeons aren’t easy to get sometimes. Being able to possibly get them as a gold reward would be nice. Even having a better way to get gold dungeon jewelry would be nice too. I see no problem with giving ppl more of a reason to run dungeons either.

I was about to say that it's not necessary. But... argument from @XxCaLxX has some reason to it. I know, ZOS wants us to grind for gold platings, but some dungeon sets are actually very widely used, and having a chance of gold jewelry from, say, Burning Spellweave would be nice, plus it's a small trickle of gold platings into the game, too.

Now though, that would make the Golden obsolete, not sure if they'll go exactly this route. And main function of leaderboards (that being, well, leaderboards) don't seem awfully useful, since most of them aren't awfully difficult. Besides, it would make people rush even more in dungeons, not a nice effect.

I don’t think it would make the Golden obsolete. Ppl still buy monster shoulders and helmets even though they are awarded from vet dungeons and undaunted chests.

No. First they would have to create a scoring system for each one, with appropriate weighting. Then they would have to develop the UI and associated data for said leaderboards. Then they would need to create and continually evaluate the rewards system.

There are 100 things off the top of my head that should get development priority over such a thing.

They can just use same formula as Vdsa, just on a smaller scale. Would be nice to add a little competition to the daily dungeon grind.

Not sure this would breathe the life back into 4-man that you think it would, even with promise of gold mats.

I'm also not sure mechanics cheesing and 4 DPS runs would benefit the contents' current state and roles required, but rather serve to make it worse.

A speed run for a quick RDF daily is one thing, this would be something else entirely.

I don't really care about this but I imagine it'd work the same way Mythic Dungeons work on WoW:

Increased difficulty above Vet (Roles are required)
    Deaths add (30s)
    Timed runs

Something a long those lines is what the OP is on about, I guess.

    569,000 - 40 minutes (350CP, Non optimised runs)

all this does is encourage more DPS meta , all the leader boards ever have done since they were introduced was encourage more dps and less team based dynamics so much so you have 12 people all worried about indvidual performance instead of team experience it really encouraged some bad apples to be even more elitist. at the end of the day competitive PVE has made the game worse not better. had they done more with it based on other roles it would have been tolerable.so many game systems in ESO were half finished ideas it really makes me wonder if this game has any idea what it wants to be.

Voted no. I'd rather PvE be free of such competition.

Kinda why I really like playing on console since there are no add ons for damage parsing. If we complete the content, that is all that matters to me. I don't feel like listening to a handful of people bickering about how they are doing 10k more damage than someone else, and that they need to step their game up.

I do dungeons because they're casual. If I wanted to compete against others I'd do vdsa for scored 4-man content.

You dont have to compete, it has zero effect on you... you can still pug or forn groups 4 dungeons as you normally do.

Vet would be the base requirement like all other scores and HM would be to push a higher score.

At face value, I agree. If it was simply for bragging rights, with no advanced loot for being the top scoring group, that would be ok with me. But if special rewards were given for this, it would be a something I wouldn't support.

Because what I really want is the game giving me and my random groupfinder teammates a score...

Unless the scoring is something you have to all opt into, its going to make dungeons more competitive. Whether that's because people get more frustrated losing points due to stupid deaths or because people will be even more adamant about wearing "meta" gear sets or doing super efficient runs. That will carry over into random groups. It already does with trials gear, even in content that doesnt really require full meta setups. Or with people excluding certain classes from trials because of lower DPS - we don't need that in dungeons too for leaderboard runs.

It basically takes the focus off of completing the dungeon together, which can be done as quickly or slowly as you like with random group members and makes it into a challenge to complete the dungeon as quickly and efficiently as possible.

You see the difference? IMO, theres enough negativity surrounding casuals, fake tanks, and low DPS in dungeon runs already, and that's without having a score attached or people trying to compete on leaderboards.

Less people would mean more time to complete and more time would mean a lower score. Assuming they would use the same formula that they use for all PvE leaderboard content, of course.

He means the really good players who solo can do a dungeon quicker than 4 people in a team.

Why thats a concern I do not know.

Looks like a lot of ppl are unaware of trials. Trials are group content that has leaderboards. There’s no harrassement when you see groups forming in chat. If ppl want to go for score runs they do it within guild mostly. With ppl that run together all the time. If dungeons had a leaderboard and you use activity finder expecting to get carried to a top score then you deserve criticism. IMHO high level players that use dungeon finder to get carried is more cancerous than 4 dps completimg a dungeon.
