Can't Stop Running When Decorating

When I am in decorator mode, my toons sometimes get stuck on the auto-forward mode where they cannot stop moving forward. I cannot ESC this or stop it. Although I am still able to steer them. I am on a MAC

    Maybe you have a button that toggles Auto Move. Its one of the side buttons on my mouse.

    Have you tried hitting the reverse key once? That or the forward, or sideways for that matter, should stop the auto run

    None of my keyboard keys work. They are also frozen :(
    Only the touchpad works.

    I have also disable the shortcut/bind key for auto-forward.

    I rarely decorate now because of this bug. :(

    Spending my time crying buckets in vMA instead.

    If none of your keyboard keys work, not even Alt+Tab or Ctrl+Alt+Del then that is a problem with either your keyboard software or operating system and/or you hit a special key that triggers a wait for something else to happen and disables other actions until that key is pressed again perhaps.
    I'm guessing you bound auto-run to that key or the key you use to enter decorator mode is also auto-run or is used on Mac to trigger scroll-lock.

    I haven't experienced this bug, but rather my character goes back to running (instead of walking) every time I place an object. So if I toggle walk mode, then place an object, as soon as I come out, my character is on running mode again (which is pretty annoying if every time you have to put walking mode on).
    Maybe what you are experiencing is the same, but with auto-running mode, as opposed to running/walking mode?

    Sounds like a similar thing. It self-selects its own displacement mode.
